First radio interview || Primera entrevista radial

Those who already know my trajectory, know well that I have been preparing a project as a salsa singer-soloist for some time. A project that has had many twists and turns and has been years in the making. But despite recent delays, which made me postpone the project for several more months, it has finally begun to take off.

They say that when you focus, things start to flow and so it has been these last few days. A lot of things that had been stuck, began to clear and take their own course.

Because of the stage I am at in the production, I had no plans to do any kind of promotion or media work. But when opportunities start knocking at the door, they should not be missed.

So it was that last week I received an invitation to attend an interview at one of the longest-running radio stations in Venezuela and a reference in radio communication in the country. The radio station that for many years was the leader in music, radio soap operas and, above all, news. The latter were also characterized by a marimba that separated the news blocks and became a classic sound (I could not avoid the temptation to leave in this video, a fragment of the advances, with its emblematic marimba).

The interviewer, Mario Villegas, is a great friend of mine, one of the most prominent journalists in the political area, but who takes one day a week to bring fresh content, which is usually musical.

It was an interview that covered all aspects of my life, from my stay in Germany and Russia, my musical beginnings in those countries, my return to Venezuela, my professional beginnings, my first works of musical research, as well as the birth of the group Los Cañoneros, up to my current project.

In order to take advantage of the live transmission for social networks and to take maximum advantage of the live recording, the music was also live. Therefore, instead of placing the recordings for the transmission, we took advantage of performing the songs live.

So this interview can be considered the first of this project of mine, which is now taking its final shape and promises to become a success in Venezuela.

Los que ya conocen mi trayectoria, saben bien que tengo tiempo preparando un proyecto como cantante-solista de salsa. Un proyecto que ha tenido muchos giros y complicaciones y que lleva años en preparación. Pero a pesar de recientes retrasos, que me hicieron postergar el proyecto por varios meses más, finalmente ha empezado a tomar vuelo.

Dicen que cuando uno se enfoca, las cosas empiezan a fluir y así han sido estos últimos días. Cantidad de cosas que se habían trancado, empezaron a despejarse y a tomar curso propio.

Por la etapa que me encuentro de la producción, no tenía previsto hacer ningún tipo de promoción o trabajo de medios. Pero cuando las oportunidades empiezan a tocar a la puerta, no se deben desaprovechar.

Así fue como la semana pasada recibí la invitación para asistir a una entrevista en una de las emisoras de radio de más larga data en Venezuela y una referencia en la comunicación radial del país. La emisora que fue durante muchísimos años líder en música, en radionovelas y, sobre todo, en noticias. Caracterizadas estas últimas, además, por una marimba que separa los bloques noticiosos y que se convirtieron en un sonido clásico (No pude evitar la tentación de dejar en este video, un fragmento de los avances, con su emblemática marimba).

El entrevistador, Mario Villegas, es un gran amigo mío, uno de los más destacados periodistas del área política, pero que se toma un día a la semana para traer contenido fresco, que, por lo general, es musical.

Fue una entrevista que abarcó todos los aspectos de mi vida, desde mi estadía en Alemania y Rusia, mis inicios musicales en esos países, el regreso a Venezuela, mis inicios profesionales, mis primeros trabajos de investigación musical, así como el nacimiento del grupo Los Cañoneros, hasta llegar a mi proyecto actual.

Para aprovechar la transmisión en directo para redes sociales y para sacar máxima ventaja de la grabación en vivo, también la música fue en vivo. Por esa razón, en lugar de colocar las grabaciones para la transmisión, aprovechamos de interpretar los temas en directo.

Así que esta entrevista puede ser considerada la primera de este mi proyecto, que ahora sí está tomando su forma definitiva y promete convertirse en todo un suceso en Venezuela.
