For this week I had planned to sing a Russian song, very much in line with this week's theme. However, the recording got complicated and today, when I had planned to do it, I had to go to my sister's house, @helyorsini, to resolve some issues.

Late in the afternoon I realized that I wasn't going to have time to record, so I came up with the idea of singing something with her (which I've been doing all my life 😁). So we decided to sing that beautiful and positive love song by the great Dominican singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra, a song that she and I have sung hundreds of thousands of times in our musical activities.

The funny thing is that we didn't have a quiet space to do it and every time we started there was some exaggerated noise that forced us to start again.

Finally, during this take there were only some normal street noises, but when we were already in the final part, the house phone started ringing, a cell phone and all the possible noises started to sound. That's the reason why I decided to end the song in fade out and thus avoid the final scandal. Although I must admit that I was tempted to leave it as it was, because it gave us a lot of laughter, but we made it to the end, like good professionals, but with an orchestra of noises on top of us.

This wonderful theme is my entry for the Hive Open Mic, week 71.

Para esta semana tenía previsto cantar una canción rusa, muy acorde con el tema de esta semana. Sin embargo, la grabación se me fue complicando y hoy, que tenía previsto hacerla, me tocó ir a casa de mi hermana, @helyorsini, a resolver unos asuntos.

Entrada la tarde me di cuenta que ya no iba a tener tiempod e grabar, entonces se me ocurrió la idea de cantar algo con ella (lo cual he hecho durante toda mi vida 😁). Así que decidimos cantar ese hermoso y positivo tema de amor del gran cantautor dominicano Juan Luis Guerra, una canción que cantamos ella y yo cientos de miles de veces en nuestra actividades musicales.

Lo gracioso es que para hacerlo no contábamos con un espacio silencioso y cada vez que empezábamos se producía algún ruido exagerado que nos obligaba a empezar de nuevo.

Finalmente, durante esta toma solo se presentaron algunos ruidos normales de la calle, pero cuando estábamos ya en la parte final, empezó a sonar el teléfono de la casa, un celular y empezaron a sonar todos los ruidos posibles. Esa es la razón por la cual decidí terminar la canción en fade out y así evitar el escándalo final. Aunque debo reconocer que estuve tentado a dejarlo como estaba, porque nos dio mucha risa, pero llegamos hasta el final, como buenos profesionales, pero con una orquesta de ruidos encima.
