Hola amigos de HIVE en especial a los de la comunidad de Threespeak.
Hoy vengo con una nueva entrega de la serie SONATA AJEDRECISTICA. En esta oportunidad se trata de la septima partida por el campeonato mundial de ajedrez de 1894.

Emanuel Lasker vence Steinitz por el título mundial de 1894.

Emanuel Lasker nació en diciembre de 1868 en Berlinchen, una pequeña localidad alemana. Fué el segundo campeón del mundo de ajedrez de 1894 a 1921. Su juego se caracterizaba por incluir el factor psicólogo al tratar de llevar las partidas a un terreno incómodo para sus adversarios, además contaba con mucha táctica y conocimientos plenos de los finales. Con estas armas desafía al campeón vigente Steinitz en agosto de 1894, match disputado en Estados Unidos.

Lasker inicia la partida planteando la apertura española, por su parte Steinitz emplea lo que se conoce hoy como la defensa Steinitz y que ha sido puesta en práctica en la actualidad por grandes maestros como Vassily Ivanchuk, Aronian and Nakamura.

Emanuel Lasker was born in December 1868 in Berlinchen, a small German town. He was the second world chess champion from 1894 to 1921. His game was characterized by including the psychological factor when trying to take the games to an uncomfortable terrain for his opponents. He also had a lot of tactics and full knowledge of the endings. With these weapons he challenged the current champion Steinitz in August 1894, a match played in USA.

Lasker begins the game by proposing the Spanish opening, for his part Steinitz uses what is known today as the Steinitz defense and which has been put into practice today by great masters such as Vassily Ivanchuk, Aronian y Nakamura.

La apertura avanza con total normalidad, gozando Lasker de una ligera ventaja de espacio otorgada por un fuerte centro de peones. Lasker renuncia a ganar aún más espacio con la jugada d5 dando prioridad al el desarrollo de sus piezas.

Steinitz logra destruir el centro de peones blancos y cambiar piezas menores, todo esto derivando posteriormente en una posición de enroques opuestos.

Lasker inicia su ataque contra el rey negro, avanzando sus peones del flanco de rey pretendiendo en primera instancia hacer retroceder al ejército negro en ese flanco.

The opening progresses completely normally, with Lasker enjoying a slight space advantage granted by a strong pawn center. Lasker gives up gaining even more space with the d5 move, prioritizing the development of his pieces.

Steinitz manages to destroy the white pawn center and exchange minor pieces, all of this subsequently leading to a position of opposite castling.

Lasker begins his attack against the black king, advancing his kingside pawns, intending in the first instance to make the black army retreat on that flank.

El maestro Alemán comete su primera imprecisión a la jugada 20 , llevando su torre a c1 para atacar el punto f7 del castillo del rey negro pero con la defensa del este punto con el caballo las negras han quedado en una mejor posición.

La blancas continúan su ataque y cometen una nueva imprecisión al avanzar su peón a g6 pero está vez Steinitz no responde de la mejor manera y avanza su peón a c5, de esta manera Lasker consigue la igualdad tras debilitar el enroque negro con la captura del peón de h7; era mejor capturar el peón en g6.

Jugadas más tarde Lasker decide sacrificar su alfil a cambio de abrir la columna "g" para sus torres obteniendo una gran iniciativa y poniendo en peligro al rey negro.

The German master makes his first inaccuracy on move 20, taking his rook to c1 to attack the f7 point of the black king's castle, but with the defense of this point with the knight, Black has been left in a better position.

White continues his attack and commits a new inaccuracy by advancing his pawn to g6 but this time Steinitz does not respond in the best way and advances his pawn to c5, in this way Lasker achieves equality after weakening Black's castling with the capture of the pawn. from h7; it was better to capture the pawn on g6.

Plays later Lasker decides to sacrifice his bishop in exchange for opening the "g" file for his rooks, obtaining a great initiative and endangering the black king.

Ante la gran presión que ejercen las torres y la dama blanca Steinitz comete un error a la jugada 37. Qe6 que le costará la partida; era mejor dar jaque con su torre en e1 y posteriormente jugar su dama a e2 manteniendo la igualdad. En este punto Lasker logra tejer una red de mate contra el rey negro de manera magistral.

La derrota de Steinitz en esta séptima partida marcaría un punto de inflexión en el match que para entonces se encontraba 3 - 3. Luego de esta victoria Lasker encadena 4 victorias seguidas contra el maestro austríaco, haciéndose con el título mundial en la partida 19 con un resultado de 10 victorias por 5 derrotas y 4 empates.

Faced with the great pressure exerted by the rooks and the white queen, Steinitz makes an error on move 37. Qe6 that will cost him the game; It was better to check with his rook on e1 and then play his queen to e2 while maintaining equality. At this point Lasker manages to weave a mating web against the black king in a masterful manner.

Steinitz's defeat in this seventh game would mark a turning point in the match that by then was 3 - 3. After this victory Lasker chained 4 consecutive victories against the Austrian master, taking the world title in game 19 with a result of 10 wins, 5 losses and 4 draws.
