Is it possible to create pristine collateral?
Someone asked me on discord, after my earlier article, whether Hive could be used as collateral. While there is something I am working through to use the Hive system, HIVE itself is not destined to be much in the way of collateral. The problem facing it is the same thing we see with most cryptocurrency: volatility.
In this video I discuss some concepts about what is required and how things need to shake out. There is a possibility that, if certain things are done, we could see Hive having a place in this market. However, it will not be with the HIVE token. There is another coin that could potentially be used to build units of collateral.
