A few comments on growing potatoes in my garden.

The land has irrigation and drainage system. My father first fertilized the land with cow dung. Then do 2-3 plowing well with tractor. Cultivation with tractors makes the soil rough.

My father applied grain fertilizers to prevent insects from attacking the soil after it was tilled. Then my father came to the field with the potato seeds. Then cut rows of potatoes in a row. Then the potato seeds are given in the rows. 8 inches in a row. Once the potatoes are planted then the soil is covered on top. Some time after planting potatoes, seedlings emerge from them. Then after 20-22 days of potato planting, when the potato plants grow, my father adds soil to the potato rows. However, my father applies pesticides 2-3 days a week due to fog or winter.

My father grows native potatoes. Yesterday I went to the potato field. I searched all the rows to see if any mice had made a nest and eaten the potatoes. I found rat holes in a few places. And I have also brought poison to kill rats in that hole. It takes 80-90 days to grow native potatoes. Our potatoes will be harvested after another 20-25 days.
