Hive's top model reto: Pasarela (naturaleza y vida)

Mi pasarela decidí realizarla en una zona céntrica de mi ciudad, donde coinciden los árboles y las flores junto a edificios, lugares residenciales y comerciales. Es contrastante el tráfico, el bullicio y el movimiento de Bogotá, con la gran cantidad de elementos de la naturaleza que encontramos en cualquier rincón de ella. Este paisaje natural-metrópoli me inspiró para crear y materializar mi estilismo.

En este video compartí mi opinión sobre el impacto social que ha generado hive alrededor del mundo, desde dos puntos de vista: económico y filantrópico. Lo segundo es, a mi forma de verlo, lo que más destaca, pues blogs, redes sociales o trabajos los podemos encontrar de cualquier tipo, pero un lugar para hacer comunidad, apoyar de forma desinteresada, crear proyectos sociales, y conectarnos, sin censura, con personas de todas partes del mundo solo se consigue en Hive.

Cuando escribimos en Hive, publicamos nuestros talentos, dibujos, videos, recetas y fotografías, estamos creando algo, somos artistas. Dice Freud que la función del arte en la sociedad es edificar, reconstruirnos cuando estamos en peligro de derrumbe. Eso ha sido Hive para mí y para muchas personas.

Este reto no estuvo fácil. Pensar en lo que quería hacer y decir, arreglarme yo misma y apartar un espacio para salir a grabar implicó tiempo y esfuerzo precisamente en una semana que tenía muchas responsabilidades en mi trabajo, las cuales me tenían un poco preocupada y ansiosa. Mi mente y mi corazón estaban llenos de miedo.

No pude continuar el resto del video en un espacio "natural" por el ruido de la calle, la lluvia y el frío. Veo los primeros videos respondiendo a la pregunta y solo alcanzaba a decir una palabra, y después "no", "no me gusta", "no puedo". Con ganas de llorar, con las expectativas altísimas y la sensación de que debo dar "más", no solo en Hive, sino en cualquier aspecto de mi vida, físicamente, emocionalmente, laboralmente, en mis relaciones. 💔 La frustración se me atoró en la garganta y luego de finalmente grabar un minuto de video, se me cerró la voz :(.

Mi mamá me ofreció un té, o una copa de vino (aunque sabe que no tomo mucho). Escogí lo segundo, respiré muchas veces y recordé lo más importante de mi participación y de este concurso, Transmitir un mensaje sobre Hive. Esto, mostrando de qué estoy hecha a través de todo el esfuerzo que le pongo a las cosas que me apasionan. Sé que esto que les he comentado es un sentimiento compartido entre varias participantes y me alegra pertenecer a este grupo de chicas que a pesar de todo, lo sigue intentando 💚

I decided to make my catwalk in a central area of my city, where trees and flowers coincide with buildings, residential and commercial places. It is contrasting the traffic, bustle and movement of Bogota, with the large amount of elements of nature that we find in any corner of it. This natural-metropolis landscape inspired me to create and materialize my styling.

In this video I shared my opinion about the social impact that hive has generated around the world, from two points of view: economic and philanthropic. The second is, in my opinion, what stands out the most, because blogs, social networks or jobs can be found of any kind, but a place to make community, support selflessly, create social projects, and connect, uncensored, with people from all over the world can only be found in Hive.

When we write on Hive, post our talents, drawings, videos, recipes and photographs, we are creating something, we are artists. Freud says that the function of art in society is to edify, to rebuild us when we are in danger of collapse. That has been Hive for me and for many people.

This challenge was not easy. Thinking about what I wanted to do and say, fixing myself up and setting aside a space to go out and shoot involved time and effort precisely in a week when I had a lot of responsibilities at work, which had me a bit worried and anxious. My mind and heart were full of fear.

I could not continue the rest of the video in a "natural" space because of the noise of the street, the rain and the cold. I watch the first videos answering the question and I could only manage to say one word, and then "no", "I don't like it", "I can't". With the urge to cry, with sky-high expectations and the feeling that I should give "more", not only in Hive, but in any aspect of my life, physically, emotionally, occupationally, in my relationships. 💔 Frustration got stuck in my throat and after finally recording a minute of video, my voice shut down :(.

My mom offered me some tea, or a glass of wine (although she knows I don't drink much). I chose the latter, took many breaths and remembered the most important thing about my participation and this contest, Giving a message about Hive. This, showing what I'm made of through all the effort I put into the things I'm passionate about. I know that what I have told you is a feeling shared by several participants and I am glad to belong to this group of girls who, despite everything, keep trying 💚
