Hello Afri-tunes community, Happy new year everyone. I trust we all are doing okay, been a minute around here but I'm back now hopefully. For this week I'd be covering the secular song as suggested in the community for this week, I'd be performing Unavailable by Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer "Davido". He features Musakeys on this record. Unavailable is a song off Davido's most recent album Timeless which was released last year (2023). I know I've been unavailable in this space for a while, but I'm glad to be back now. I chose this song cause it's one of my favourite records off the timeless album, amazing beat. I'm not a great dancer but the song would make you want to move your body 😉. Arguably one of the biggest song of last year, the song went viral with different challenge on the social media space across borders.

The song basically talks about being unavailable to negative energy and things that don't bring money to the table. Just living life on your own terms and at your own pace. No time for competition or pressure, but just trying to grow personally doing your own thing, putting in the work. Unavailable also speaks about being human so no one should expect him (Davido) to be perfect even though he's a global star, He's unavailable to the tongue lash from critics. He's only just living his life and wants to be happy. This year my friends, try your best possible to be unavailable to negativity....focus on the things that serve you, that puts food on your table, stop the comparison. Hola comunidad Afri-tunes. Feliz año nuevo a todos. Confío en que todos estemos bien. He pasado un minuto por aquí, pero espero haber regresado. Para esta semana haría un cover de la canción secular como lo sugirió la comunidad. Esta semana interpretaría No disponible del cantante, compositor y productor discográfico nigeriano "Davido". Presenta a Musakeys en este disco. Unavailable es una canción del álbum más reciente de Davido, Timeless, que se lanzó el año pasado (2023). Sé que no he estado disponible en este espacio por un tiempo, pero me alegra estar de regreso ahora. Elegí esta canción porque es uno de mis discos favoritos del álbum Timeless, tiene un ritmo increíble. No soy un gran bailarín pero la canción te daría ganas de mover el cuerpo 😉. Posiblemente una de las canciones más importantes del año pasado, la canción se volvió viral con diferentes desafíos en el espacio de las redes sociales a través de fronteras.

La canción básicamente habla de no estar disponible para la energía negativa y las cosas que no aportan dinero a la mesa. Simplemente vive la vida en tus propios términos y a tu propio ritmo. No hay tiempo para competir o presionar, sino simplemente tratar de crecer personalmente haciendo lo suyo, esforzándose. No disponible también habla de ser humano, por lo que nadie debería esperar que él (Davido) sea perfecto a pesar de que es una estrella mundial. No está disponible para los latigazos de los críticos. Él apenas está viviendo su vida y quiere ser feliz. Este año, amigos míos, hagan todo lo posible para no estar disponibles para la negatividad... concéntrese en las cosas que les sirven, que ponen comida en su mesa, dejen de comparar. El viaje de cada persona es diferente, sigue haciendo lo tuyo... seguro que algún día pagarás 🙏. Espero que todos disfruten 🎧 mi versión de este éxito mundial, nos vemos la próxima semana 🥂.
