Hive Open Mic Week 150 - Harmoni (Cover) by Samuel and Frans

Hi, dear friends and family at Hive Open Mic Community. Introducing me, my name is Samuel Stifen, a guitarist, and my friend Frans is a vocalist. We are both the acoustic band The People People. It's unbelievable, the weekly event #openmic has entered number 150. Every day I see great and talented musicians here. This proves that the Hive Open Mic weekly event is getting ahead of the curve.

So, this week's theme is “Our Virtue”. This theme was chosen by @musicandreview, they are the two best musicians in this community, Mr. Omar played the guitar very well, and Mrs. Dina sings a song with a beautiful voice. From this week's theme, the two of us performed a cover song entitled “Harmoni”, by Padi. Padi is a music group from Indonesia that has been famous for a long time. In 2011, this band was no longer heard, either in mass or electronic media. I assume that their band had broken up by then. But in 2018, they were active again and made music again.

The song called Harmoni that we brought today is so famous. Written by Piyu (Guitarist Padi), released in 2007 and became my favorite music at that time. In my opinion, this song tells us about life lessons that can create harmony. Apart from containing straightforward lyrics about life, this song is also very pleasant to listen to because the musical arrangement wrapped in an acoustic guitar can make me drift away while listening. From this song, I understand living in harmony, living side by side with other people, and getting so many life lessons. From the people around us, we come to understand how meaningful and precious life is, to makes us aware of the origin of our existence in this world. We are born in a pure state and fill it with various behaviors throughout life.
