Hello, dear friends of Hive Open Mic! This is without a doubt my favorite music showcase on the Hive Blockchain, as it allows me to share with diverse talents and exceptional human beings. We have already arrived at week 182 and this time we are dealing with Symphonic Metal and Folk music.

When I knew the topic to be developed on this occasion I felt very comfortable since I’m a lover of both folk music and symphonic metal; the main representatives of the latter genre are European bands such as Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, among others. I had the opportunity to go to two Epica concerts here in Venezuela, as well as one of Tarja Turunen, ex-vocalist of Nightwish, which were unique experiences that I would like to repeat someday.

For this theme the song Memories came to my mind, it’s performed by the Dutch alternative and symphonic metal band Within Temptation, from the album Silent Force, released in 2004. The lyrics tell us about two lovers separated by the death of one of them but at the same time united by the indelible memories of the beautiful moments lived and the promises made to always take care of each other.

¡Hola, queridos amigos de Hive Open Mic! Esta es sin lugar a dudas mi vitrina musical favorita en la Blockchain de Hive, ya que me permite compartir con diversos talentos y seres humanos excepcionales. Hemos arribado ya a la semana 182 y en esta ocasión nos ocupa la temática Metal Sinfónico y música Folk.

Cuando supe el tópico a tratar en esta ocasión me sentí muy a gusto puesto que soy amante tanto de la música folk como del metal sinfónico; los principales representantes de este último género son bandas europeas tales como Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, entre otros. Tuve la oportunidad de ir a dos conciertos de Epica acá en Venezuela, al igual que a uno de Tarja Turunen, ex-vocalista de Nightwish, las cuales fueron experiencias inigualables que me gustaría repetir algún día.

Para esta temática se me vino a la mente la canción Memories, interpretada por la banda de metal sinfónico y alternativo neerlandesa Within Temptation, perteneciente álbum Silent Force, lanzado en 2004. La letra nos habla de dos amantes separados por la muerte de uno de ellos pero a la vez unidos por los recuerdos indelebles de los bellos momentos vividos y las promesas hechas de siempre cuidar uno del otro.
