On September 6th, 2023, I set out to the garage with the Stagg, my chord sheets, and a tall glass of tequila and lime juice. Now that we’re starting to push for real gigs, it felt right that I should start rehearsing the songs that will make up my 2023 setlist…welcome to the garage session!
Thisnone’s for JRS. He didn’t request it per se, but when we were in a band together, he always wanted to do this song. O don’t think any of the members were against it, it just happened that the band split apart before we could get to it.
Russ always liked the way this song gives you the impression (mama told me there’d be days like this…) that mama is warning you of the fact that bad days happen, but ironically, in this case she’s actually telling you to look for the good days, because they will happen too!
