Hi Everyone,
The recent lockdown of Bengaluru has pushed us out of the city in a new concern of getting stuck in the Bengaluru Corona numbers.
Like everyone, like very few too, I travelled back to my native ( Harihar ) where my parents live. And had a self quarantine of two weeks and even now, I dont go out for anything unless its absolutely necessary.
Why do you go out when you have everything here at home 😍
And the best choice of evening snacks are Pakoda or Balekai Bajji as we call in Kannada language. Balekai is raw plantain.
My dad was preparing Balekai Bajji for the cold evening. The hot dish with spicy super taste.
Recently I came across this POST by @serypow and no description would be better than the description and steps of preparation she has posted. Please do visit her for amazing recipes and beautiful presentation of food photography.
I clicked some photographs while I made the raw video of my dad cooking in kitchen. Here they are for you all 😊
As I commented on @serypow post that most of the indians prefer spicy food. So the photograph shows the red chilli powder for extra spice.
Forgot to mention that todays preparation was all for Raw plantain and in the end we tried potato slices.
The Raw plantain slices are deep fried in cooking oil.
Hope you will love the idea of hot snacks when it rains. Entire India would say Yes!!!
Stay safe and Have a wonderful day 😊
