La Magia del Huéhuetl y el Panhuéhuetl

"Nuestro universo está lleno de latidos, de sonidos y ritmos que marcan nuestra vida y su desarrollo. El primer sonido que todos escuchamos es el latido del corazón de nuestra madre. Todos vibramos y tenemos ritmo: la tierra, las mareas, las cuatro estaciones, la luna. También, nuestro cuerpo tiene ritmo: el latido del corazón, las ondas del cerebro, la respiración.

Todos lo pueblos del Anáhuac descubrieron el sonido del universo dentro de nosotros y la naturaleza y decidieron dar representación a esos sonidos por medio de instrumentos dearrollados de diferentes formas para poder comunicarse con la gran energía de la creación. Uno de los instrumentos más emblemáticos de los mexihkas es hasta la fecha el HUÉHUETL que en lengua náhuatl tiene como deficinión "el anciano" (huehue=viejo, tl=sustantivo), o el venerable, pues las culturas mesoamericanas veneraban y respetaban a las personas ancianas por su sabiduría, y su sonido representa el latir del corazón de la madre tierra.

Dicen nuestros sabios abuelos mexihkas que cuando tocamos el huéhuetl, estemos conscientes o no, todo nuestro ser está envuelto y despierto, manifestando sentimientos de expresión creativa, cura y conexión. Nuestro espíritu quiere jugar, experimentar sanación, comunión. El sonido del tambor es como el sonido del corazón. El golpe del tambor está dentro de nosotros y, traerlo fuera es exteriorizar nuestra emoción y conexión con la tierra. El tambor está asociado al elemento tierra.

En los últimos años, se están realizando las primeras investigaciones que permiten comprobar que tocar tambor ayuda al fortalecimiento del sistema de inmunidad natural del organismo. Se menciona, inclusive, que el tocar resulta un impulsor útil para el organismo, análogo a la risa, efectivo para aliviar desde el estrés hasta tener una influencia positiva en los pacientes con cáncer. Las percusiones y la armonia del tambor, aumentan la actividad de las celulas defensivas que combaten el cancer y las enfermedades virales, asi tambien produce una reacción que elimina el estrés.

El tambor de mano, el PANHUÉHUETL, es usado desde lejanos tiempos por diversas culturas del mundo. Sus funciones son diversas, lo mismo se utiliza para llamar y conversar con las energías con las que estamos conectados, como instrumento para sanar a una persona o su entorno y como medio para ingresar a estados de consciencia chamanica.

Se considera al panhuéhuetl y a su ritmico sonido, como el caballo por medio del cual viaja el chaman a otras realidades. Mas cuando toca su tambor para un viaje colectivo, entonces se dice que es una nave, una balsa, guiada por el chaman hacia lo desconocido, hacia el mundo de los espiritus.

También se suele ocupar el panhuéhuetl, el tambor chamanico, en diversas actividades, una de ellas es en el temazcal, donde es propicio percibir a traves del sonido del tambor, el estado de salud de una persona, e incluso cuando se trata de desordenes de polución en su huevo luminoso, se puede hacer un barrimiento mediante el sonido del tambor.

El sonido de los tambores (...), es el sonido del corazon de la Madre Cósmica, indica que aun estamos en proceso de desarrollo, estamos siendo gestados. El sonido del tambor en nuestro caso particular nos conecta con el corazon de la Madre Tierra, nos induce a estados alterados de conciencia, a encontrar respuestas, soluciones, a gestar cambios a voluntad, a dar a luz nuevas realidades, todo ello a través de un instrumento de madera y piel, que ofrece al ser percutido un universo de posibilidades infinitas.

One of the most emblematic instruments of the Mexihkas is to date the HUÉHUETL, which in the Nahuatl language has the definition "the old man" (huehue = old man, tl = noun), or the venerable, since Mesoamerican cultures revered and respected people old women for their wisdom, and their sound represents the beating of the heart of mother earth.

Our wise Mexihka grandparents say that when we play the huéhuetl, whether we are conscious or not, our entire being is enveloped and awake, manifesting feelings of creative expression, healing and connection. Our spirit wants to play, experience healing, communion. The sound of the drum is like the sound of the heart. The beat of the drum is within us and to bring it out is to externalize our emotion and connection with the earth. The drum is associated with the earth element.

In recent years, the first research has been carried out that shows that drumming helps to strengthen the body's natural immunity system. It is even mentioned that playing is a useful booster for the body, analogous to laughter, effective in relieving everything from stress to having a positive influence on cancer patients. The percussions and the harmony of the drum, made the activity of the defensive cells that fight cancer and viral diseases, thus also produces a reaction that eliminates stress.

The hand drum, the PANHUÉHUETL, has been used since ancient times by various cultures around the world. Its functions are diverse, the same is used to call and converse with the energies with which we are connected, as an instrument to heal a people or their environment and as a means to enter states of shamanic consciousness.

The panhuéhuetl and its rhythmic sound are considered as the horse through which the shaman travels to other realities. But when he plays his drum for a collective trip, then it is said that it is a ship, a raft, guided by the shaman towards the unknown, towards the world of spirits.

The panhuéhuetl, the shamanic drum, is also usually engaged in various activities, one of them is in the temazcal, where it is conducive to perceive through the sound of the drum, the state of health of a person, and even when it comes to pollution disorders in his luminous egg, they can be swept by the sound of the drum.

The sound of the drum(...), is the sound of the heart of the Cosmic Mother, it indicates that we are still in the process of development, we are being gestated. The sound of the drum in our particular case connects us with the heart of Mother Earth, induces us to altered states of consciousness, to find answers, solutions, to create changes at will, to give birth to new realities, all through a wood and leather instrument that offers a universe of infinite possibilities when struck.
