Hi everybody!

Today i'll do something different to the suggested theme for two reasons.

One is that Cupid has been very generous with me since long ago,
And second I want to promote and make you know about my new project in Hive: the monthly HiVe RaFFLe. "Quiniela" in spanish.

So i'm feeling identifyed by the character in this song I bring today, because i'm inviting hivers to play my "Quiniela" as he did in the old old days on the streets.

Little story about the Quiniela:

A lottery-raffle was official by the year 1895 in Argentina and this Raffle inspired a more popular frecuent and cheap lottery: The Biniela. "Bi" because it was played the last two numbers al first. Then it became Quiniela with three digits. Clandestine.

This popular lottery spread around so deeply in society that in year 1950 the neighbor country Uruguay made it official, to what Argentina emulated later making it legal too.

Quiniela is played in over 70 countries today, and now in Hive we got it too.

Back in the days, there was the "Quiniela vendor" who shouted out in the streets selling good luck or ilusions, and this is what the song is about. The Quiniela vendor shouting out loud his lines in the streets, like this:

It is no longer just the greengrocer
With his morning song
That wakes us up offering
"Special New Potatoe"
Today the Quiniela Vendor imitates him
And in his early promise
He tells us that there is a fresh dolars three times a week
And in his proclamation, the spokesman says in an original tone:
Quinielero, my ladies are you gonna play?!
Today in Córdoba we have, and tomorrow Tucumán
And for revenge, on Friday
The national is played

I bring to yoir skull so much
double-pairs or stairs
take a number
And you'll see how you are the one
If you hit it, I swear
Miss you'll have Your cash
Because my investor
He is wealthy and serious

A stranger from the north
took some money out
When the "07" came out,
dammit, he had us bad
And there are still lyers
who throw us to the hole
Knowing that this is a noble game,
that it is a national industry

And if you don't hit the number,
what does it matter?
I really bring you ilusions
and sometimes reality
And lastly, the consolation of that saying that pronounce:
"The one who loses the gamble
In Love he fails none!"

Hoy haré algo diferente del tema sugerido por dos razones.

Una es que Cupido ha sido muy generoso conmigo desde hace mucho tiempo,
Y segundo es que quiero promocionar y dar a conocer mi nuevo proyecto en Hive: "La Quiniela en la Colmena".

Me estoy sintiendo identificado con el personaje de esta canción que traigo hoy, porque estoy invitando a hivers a jugarle a mi Quiniela como lo hacía el Quinielero en los viejos tiempos en las calles.

Ya en el año 1895 se oficializó una gran lotería de fin de año en Argentina y este Sorteo inspiró una lotería más popular, cotidiana y económica: La Biniela. "Bi" porque se jugaron los dos últimos números al principio. Luego pasó a ser Quiniela con tres dígitos. Pero igual de clandestina.

Esta popular lotería se difundió tan profundamente en la sociedad que en el año 1950 el país vecino Uruguay la oficializó, a lo que luego Argentina emuló legalizándola también.

La quiniela se juega hoy en más de 70 países, y ahora en Hive también la tenemos.

Antiguamente estaba el Quinielero que gritaba por las calles vendiendo buena suerte o ilusiones, y de eso trata la canción. El vendedor de quinielas gritando a gritos sus versos en las calles, así:

Ya no es solo el verdulero
Con su canto matinal
Que nos despierta ofreciendo
"Papá nueva y especial"
hoy lo imita el quinielero
Y en su promesa temprana
Nos dice que hay vento fresco tres veces a la semana
Y en su pregon, el vocero dice en tono original:
"Quinielero, patrona quiere jugar"
Hoy en Córdoba tenemos, y mañana Tucumán
Y para desquite, el viernes
Se juega la nacional

Yo tanto le llevo al cráneo
Redoblonas o escaleras
Apúntate un numerito
Y veras como es primera
Si usted me acierta, le juro
Patrona, que va a cobrar
Porque mi capitalista
Es ventudo y gran bacan

Un forastero del norte se nos llevó a un capital
Cuando salió el 07, pucha, que nos tuvo mal
Y todavía hay gilastros que nos tiran a embocar
Sabiendo que es juego noble, que es industria nacional
Y si no embocan, ¿qué importa?
Yo les traigo de verdad
ilusiones
Y alguna vez realidad
Y por último el consuelo de aquel refrán decidor
"El que anda mal en el juego
No erra una en el amor"
