Hola mis apreciados amigos de la #colmena, en ésta oportunidad les traigo el mágico baile tradicional, típico de mi tierra San Juanera, Los Pastores de San Juan, esperando desde lo más profundo de mi alma, que iniciativas como ésta, continúen en diferentes medios de modo, que avancemos fomentando la cultura en todo el ámbito nacional.

Hello my dear friends of the #colmena, in this opportunity I bring you the magical traditional dance, typical of my land San Juanera, Los Pastores de San Juan, hoping from the depths of my soul, that initiatives like this, continue in different media in order to promote culture throughout the national level.

Reseña Histórica, Pastores de San Juan

Es un baile típico de la capital Guariqueña, San Juan de los Morros, cuya muestra posee características propias de los demás pastores del ámbito nacional; Pastores de Aguas Calientes, de San Joaquín, del Limón, los Teques, etc; enmarcadas en el género de las parrandas y cantos navideños al niño Jesús.

It is a typical dance of the capital of Guariqueña, San Juan de los Morros, whose sample has its own characteristics of the other shepherds of the national scope; Shepherds of Aguas Calientes, San Joaquín, del Limón, Los Teques, etc; framed in the genre of the parrandas and Christmas songs to the baby Jesus.

Ésta manifestación se lleva al público todos los 24 de Junio en honor al Santo Patrono San Juan Bautista y la 2da semana de Diciembre en adoración al niño Dios en el cual, ambos santos son bailados por dos infantes, en representación de lo reciente de dicha manifestación cultural, de esta manera se venera y agradece por los favores concedidos.

This manifestation is taken to the public every June 24 in honor of the Patron Saint San Juan Bautista and the 2nd week of December in adoration of the child God in which, both saints are danced by two infants, in representation of the recentness of this cultural manifestation, in this way it is venerated and thanked for the favors granted.

Comienza con un breve toque de joropo instrumental, seguido de un parrandón con cantos dedicados a los santos venerados, y posteriormente, se continúa con otros versos parranderos acompañados de unas maracas ejecutadas por las Pastorcillas y, los Gajillos por los Pastores, encargados de escenificar la pieza, culminando con un ritmo de zangueo. Tendrán un Cachero quién protege el baile, el Titirijí (pájaro travieso) y un Pastor guía que dirigirá toda la escenificación.

It begins with a brief instrumental joropo, followed by a parrandón with songs dedicated to the venerated saints, and then continues with other parrandero verses accompanied by maracas played by the shepherdesses and the gajillos by the shepherds, in charge of staging the piece, culminating with a zangueo rhythm. They will have a cachero who protects the dance, the titirijí (mischievous bird) and a shepherd guide who will direct the whole staging.
