Desde que iniciamos esta aventura nos hemos comprometido con la comunidad musical en llevar nuestro arte a ganar nuevamente el terreno que poco a poco se había estado extinguiendo. Hoy sigue existiendo algunas actividades que, sin duda, suman en este hermoso escenario general que conocemos como Hive. Estamos conscientes que muchos de los artistas que hacen vida en estos escenarios sueñan con una carrera en el arte del espectáculo y por ellos hemos estado ofreciendo a lo largo de un año y dos meses algunas herramientas que de seguro son bastante útiles para nuestra evolución. Empezamos con algunos pódcast que instruyeron por un tiempo a nuestros artistas y seguimos con el Magazine Zone, la cual ha sido una revista de carácter educativo con el fin de ofrecerles a un click algunos tips para un mejor desempeño musical.

Since we started this adventure we have been committed to the musical community to bring our art to win back the ground that little by little had been dying out. Today there are still some activities that undoubtedly add to this beautiful general scenario that we know as Hive. We are aware that many of the artists who make life in these scenarios dream of a career in the art of show business and for them we have been offering over a year and two months some tools that are surely very useful for our evolution. We started with some podcasts that instructed our artists for a while and we continued with the Magazine Zone, which has been an educational magazine with the purpose of offering a click some tips for a better musical performance.

En el último trimestre del año pasado nos comprometimos con la comunidad musical en otorgarles a nuestros artistas un valor más a todo su trabajo y llevando juntos este arte a otro nivel dentro de la Blockchain y apoyando al sueño de nuestras estrellas. Por esa razón nace el SongChallenge el cual sigue sumándose a las importantes atracciones musicales de nuestra comunidad musical en general. El mismo será un evento que hasta los momentos seguimos pensando será anual, aunque puede que esa idea cambie a cada 6 meses. El SongChallenge le ofrece al artista ganador un trabajo de producción (visual y audio) de alguna de las tres canciones que nos presentará a lo largo del concurso. En esta primera entrega nuestro afortunado ganador fue el amigo Obaro.

In the last quarter of last year we committed with the music community to give our artists more value to all their work and taking together this art to another level within the Blockchain and supporting the dream of our stars. For this reason the SongChallenge was born, which continues to add to the important musical attractions of our music community in general. It will be an event that so far we still think it will be an annual event, although that idea may change to every 6 months. The SongChallenge offers the winning artist a production job (visual and audio) of one of the three songs that will be presented during the contest. In this first installment our lucky winner was our friend Obaro.

La creatividad es una pieza clave en el mundo audiovisual, de ella depende toda la diferenciación de los conceptos visuales; por supuesto, eso siempre depende y variará de persona a persona. El reto más significativo para mí en la realización del premio del Song Challenge, ha sido mi interpretación de la música para plasmarlo en el vídeo lyrics, y así, de esta manera, darle un concepto y estilo visual singular.

Hacer la música visual es un proceso creativo que me reta, ya que se involucran muchos elementos para llevarlo a cabo, para poder destacar los movimientos, colores, composición, texturas, dimensiones, y sobretodo, una narrativa visual coherente. Los resultados que se revelan en la producción audiovisual han sido el resultado de mi interpretación sobre el tema y la correspondencia del mensaje de la canción.

Trabajar a distancia siempre amerita ser audaz, es un desafío porque por más que se traten de controlar muchos aspectos técnicos, muchas cosas se salen de las manos. Una característica de mi trabajo es la estética, eso es de alta preocupación para mí; hacer que este trabajo audiovisual se entrelazara con la calidad y estética fue de alta exigencia. Tuve muchísimos errores con el archivo editable de Adobe Premiere con tantos "inventos" que realice con los archivos crudos. Sin embargo, no me di por vencido y cumplí con todo el mayor de los gustos con la realización del premio.

Creativity is a key piece in the audiovisual world, all the differentiation of visual concepts depends on it; of course, that always depends and will vary from person to person. The most significant challenge for me in the realization of the Song Challenge award, has been my interpretation of the music to capture it in the video lyrics, and thus, in this way, give it a unique visual concept and style.

Making visual music is a creative process that challenges me, since many elements are involved to carry it out, in order to highlight the movements, colors, composition, textures, dimensions, and above all, a coherent visual narrative. The results that are revealed in the audiovisual production have been the result of my interpretation of the theme and the correspondence of the song's message.

Working at a distance always merits being daring, it is a challenge because no matter how much you try to control many technical aspects, many things get out of hand. A characteristic of my work is the aesthetics, that is of high concern to me; making this audiovisual work intertwined with the quality and aesthetics was of high demand. I had a lot of mistakes with the editable Adobe Premiere file with so many "inventions" I made with the raw files. However, I didn't give up and I did my best to make the award.

De la música soy muy pro rock de los 90 con mis gustos personales y amante del rock progresivo, tool, a perfect circle, porcupine tree, NIN, silverchair y por ahí me voy. La canción de nuestro artista galardonado en esta 1ra edición del SongChallenge me influencié mucho en esa época, quise alimentar esta composición con ese ritmo antiguo que sin duda fue bastante aceptado por el público y casa discográficas. No fue un trabajo nada sencillo, pues, trabajar a distancia tiene sus contra, pero aun a pesar de las dificultades me alegra mucho haber podido cumplir las expectativas de la dirección general y el artista. Estoy seguro de que este tipo de concursos deben ser más que nutritivos dado el hecho que le ofrece al artista el empujón que muchas veces nos hace falta. Felicito a todos los involucrados en este trabajo y deseo con ansias volver a trabajar en el próximo SongChallenge 2° edición.

From the music I am very pro rock of the 90's with my personal tastes and a lover of progressive rock, tool, a perfect circle, porcupine tree, NIN, silverchair and that's where I'm going. The song of our award-winning artist in this 1st edition of the SongChallenge influenced me a lot in that era, I wanted to feed this composition with that old rhythm that was certainly well accepted by the public and record labels. It was not an easy job, because working remotely has its drawbacks, but despite the difficulties I am very happy to have been able to meet the expectations of the general management and the artist. I am sure that this type of contest must be more than nourishing given the fact that it offers the artist the push that many times we need. I congratulate everyone involved in this work and look forward to working again on the next SongChallenge 2nd edition.
