First impressions of John Wick: Chapter 4 (English Subs) - No spoilers

Greetings Hive moviegoers friends! I am pleased to be here once again, this time with my impressions on the fourth installment of John Wick which was expected by many fans of this saga that has managed to position itself as a very successful and profitable in the action genre. This time we went to our usual movie theater which is located in the C.C Mega Plaza in the city of Lima, we took advantage of a very good online offer for which we paid two for the price of one, it should be noted that in this city the cinema is not exactly the cheapest attractions.

This movie has been in theaters for a couple of weeks or more, but last Saturday we had the opportunity to see it. Expectations were relatively high since we liked the previous ones a lot, so we must admit that we had some anxiety.

Me complace estar una vez más aquí, esta vez con mis impresiones sobre la cuanta entrega de John Wick la cual era esperada por muchos fans de esta saga que ha sabido posicionarse como una muy exitosa y rentable en el género de acción. En esta oportunidad fuimos a nuestro cine de costumbre el cual está ubicado en el C.C Mega Plaza de la ciudad de Lima, aprovechamos una muy buena oferta online por la cual pagamos dos entradas por el precio de una, cabe destacar que en esta ciudad el cine no es precisamente de las atracciones más baratas.

Esta película ya salió hace un par de semanas o más a las salas de cine, pero el pasado sábado fue que tuvimos la oportunidad de verla. Las expectativas estaban relativamente altas ya que las anteriores nos gustaron mucho, así que debemos reconocer que teníamos cierta ansiedad.

The movie started quite well and kept that pace until the end, I think that something that the producer knew how to do well was to distribute the action scenes very well so that they would not saturate us, so in that sense the quieter scenes or dialogues came at the right time; we in particular did not feel bored at any time.

Something that we liked a lot was the cast, in this movie there are actors with whom we sympathize and we were very happy to see them in different roles or perhaps rougher than usual, so it was a pleasant surprise to see such a large staff of good actors, these things certainly add a lot to the entertainment.

There is a strange feeling that we get when watching this kind of action movies (especially those of this saga), we know we are watching a pure fiction movie and that these things are to be expected, but we believe that a little reality doesn't hurt from time to time, and seeing practically immortal characters, bulletproof, deadly blows and falls, sometimes leaves us with an air of dissatisfaction, but we still try to ignore this as much as possible and dedicate ourselves to enjoy.

We are left with an entertaining movie, versatile, with a good cast, with a very acceptable story and with good special effects, the latter have improved a lot and one of the reasons why this saga is still worthwhile. Will there be a sequel in the future, we will have to wait; for now, we heard on local TV that there will be a series and a spinoff, we'll see what it will be about.

La película inició bastante bien y mantuvo ese ritmo hasta el final, creo que algo que supo hacer bien el productor fue distribuir muy bien las escenas de acción para que no nos saturarán, así que en ese sentido las escenas más tranquilas o de diálogos llegaban en el momento correcto; nosotros en lo particular no nos sentimos aburridos en ningún momento.

Algo que nos gustó mucho fue el reparto, en esta película hay actores con los cuales simpatizamos y que nos dio mucho gusto verlos en roles distintos o quizá más rudos que los acostumbrados, así que fue una grata sorpresa ver tan amplio staff de buenos actores, estas cosas sin duda aportan mucho para el entretenimiento.

Hay una extraña sensación que nos deja el ver este tipo de películas de acción (sobre todo las de esta saga), sabemos que estamos viendo una película que ficción pura y que estas cosas son de esperarse, pero creemos que no cae mal un poco de realidad de vez en cuando, y es que ver personajes prácticamente inmortales, a prueba de balas, golpes mortales y caídas, nos deja a veces aires de inconformidad, pero igual tratamos de ignorar esto lo más posible y nos dedicamos a disfrutar.

Nos quedamos con una película entretenida, versátil, con un buen reparto, con una historia muy aceptable y con buenos efectos especiales, esto último lo han mejorado mucho y es de los motivos por los cuales sigue valiendo la pena esta saga. ¿Habrá una secuela en el futuro?, pues tocará esperar; por lo pronto, escuchamos en la TV local que habrá una serie y un Spinoff, ya veremos de que tratarán.
