Hello, Dear Hivers | Hola, Queridos Hivers

After watching Hamilton I started feeling a huge admiration for Lin-Manuel Miranda, so I decided to dig a little deeper into his work, and after many searching I found In The Heights. I heard the complete original soundtrack of the Broadway musical and I fell in love with it. Why? Well, besides it's fantastic composition, I am Latina, and hearing the salsa/merengue touches in the pieces, the words in Spanish between the lyrics, and every little latin detail made me feel... There are no words. It's like all the good feelings mixed into one, it was just fantastic, that much that I even watched a pirateada version of the Broadway musical. Then, when I finished the last song YouTube recommended me a trailer of some movie called 'In The Heights' too (I'll give you my opinion about it in another post), and... I nearly died. IT WAS SO GREAT!

For this opportunity I choose to sing "It Won't Be Long Now" because I feel a little identify with that quote. I'm almost graduated and soon, just like Vanessa (the character who sings this song) I feel like it won't be long now for me to fulfill my dreams!
