En un mundo donde la monotonía y la burocracia han consumido la esencia de la vida, un hombre se encuentra atrapado en la rutina diaria de sellar papeles con un sello desgastado que lleva el símbolo de un murciélago.

Su vida transcurre sin sorpresas, marcada por el tedio de una existencia predecible y carente de alegría. La ciudad en la que vive refleja esta realidad distópica: las calles están llenas de adultos mayores, y los niños, con su inocencia y alegría, son una rareza.

La sociedad está gobernada por jóvenes líderes que disfrutan de lujos inimaginables para el ciudadano común, como yates y propiedades codiciadas.

Estos líderes son la cara visible del poder, mientras que nuestro protagonista es solo una pieza más en el engranaje de una máquina gubernamental opresiva.

Un día, al regresar a su hogar, el hombre encuentra una carta misteriosa deslizada bajo su puerta. No hay marcas, solo un mensaje que lo nombra como el “primer ciudadano” y una dirección a la que debe dirigirse en las próximas dos horas. La carta promete un cambio radical en su vida, un antes y un después que podría liberarlo de su aburrida existencia.

Movido por la curiosidad y el deseo de escapar de su rutina, se dirige a la dirección indicada.

Allí, hombres vestidos de azul lo esperan, listos para revelarle su destino. ¿Qué le deparará esta convocatoria? ¿Será el inicio de una nueva vida o solo otro eslabón en la cadena de control?

Este relato es mi reflexión sobre la vida en una sociedad distópica, donde la individualidad y la libertad son sacrificadas en el altar de la burocracia y el control.

Es una historia de despertar, de la búsqueda de significado en un mundo que parece haber olvidado la importancia de la humanidad y la alegría. Con cada sello, nuestro protagonista se acerca a la verdad, a la posibilidad de un cambio que podría alterar no solo su vida sino la de toda la sociedad.

La narrativa nos invita a cuestionar nuestra propia realidad, a mirar más allá de la rutina y a buscar aquellos momentos y decisiones que tienen el potencial de transformar nuestras vidas.

En la figura del murciélago, encontramos un símbolo de lo prohibido, de lo que se oculta en las sombras, pero también de la posibilidad de volar hacia nuevos horizontes (cualquier parecido con cierto personaje de la política es pura coincidencia)

In a world where monotony and bureaucracy have consumed the essence of life, a man finds himself trapped in the daily routine of stamping papers with a worn-out stamp bearing the symbol of a bat.

His life passes without surprises, marked by the tedium of a predictable and joyless existence. The city in which he lives reflects this dystopian reality: the streets are full of older adults, and children, with their innocence and joy, are a rarity.

Society is ruled by young leaders who enjoy luxuries unimaginable to the average citizen, such as yachts and coveted properties.

These leaders are the visible face of power, while our protagonist is just another cog in the wheel of an oppressive government machine.

One day, upon returning home, the man finds a mysterious letter slipped under his door. There are no markings, just a message naming him as the “first citizen” and an address he should head to in the next two hours. The letter promises a radical change in his life, a before and after that could free him from his boring existence.

Moved by curiosity and the desire to escape from his routine, he heads to the indicated address.

There, men dressed in blue await him, ready to reveal his fate. What will this call bring you? Will it be the beginning of a new life or just another link in the chain of control?

This story is my reflection on life in a dystopian society, where individuality and freedom are sacrificed on the altar of bureaucracy and control.

It is a story of awakening, of the search for meaning in a world that seems to have forgotten the importance of humanity and joy. With each seal, our protagonist gets closer to the truth, to the possibility of a change that could alter not only his life but that of the entire society.

The narrative invites us to question our own reality, to look beyond routine and to look for those moments and decisions that have the potential to transform our lives.

In the figure of the bat, we find a symbol of the forbidden, of what is hidden in the shadows, but also of the possibility of flying towards new horizons (any resemblance to a certain political figure is purely coincidental).
