HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 119||RECUERDAME|REMEMBER ME(COVER)| from COCO the movie

Hello HiveopenMic family! I am happy to be here once again. I trust you are all doing well. This is week 119 and the theme for this week is préjudice. What a thoughful theme! Thanks to @lisbeth26 to this wonderful theme.

The word préjudice simply means an opinion that is not based on actual facts. A preconceived opinion. In simpler terms, prejudice means having a wrong idea of another person, sometimes because of misinformation or misunderstanding.
No one likes to be prejudiced because it really hurts and breaks the heart when people, especially your loved ones have the wrong conception about you.
To me, this theme of prejudice makes me remember an intresting and educating movie titled COCO.

In this beautiful movie a man named Hector was prejudiced by his own family. They believed that he was a selfish man who abandoned his family to pursue his musical career. This was because he set out on this journey but never returned to his family and they never heard from him again.

Little did they know that his friend Enersto de la cruz betrayed him and poisoned him to death because of jealousy. Ernesto de la cruz wanted to take all the glory of Hector's musical achievements.

The truth is that Hector actually loves his family so much and would have loved to return but unfortunately, he was met by a tragic fate. So on one hand, I don't blame his family so much for loosing trust in him, because they did not understand what actually happened.

Fast-forward to the end, through the instrumentality of his grand son, Miguel, the truth later came to light. His family got to understand that he did not abandon them. This gave the spirit of Hector a great relief and joy.

This theme teaches us not to be quick to judge people until we understand all sides of the story. If not we may conceive the wrong notion about the other and that may break their heart.

In the spirit of this theme, I will present to you a song that Hector wrote for his daughter "COCO" when before he journeyed into his tragic death. It is a classic Spanish song but remade in English by Miguel. It has classic Spanish guitar chords progression as accompaniment. don't miss the part where I whistled the song 😉
