Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, espero tengan un feliz inicio de semana. Como siempre es un placer regalarme un lunes musical en la gran tarima de Open Mic. Y en esta ocasión les he traído un teman que forma parte del imaginario musical de Venezuela. Se trata de “Perla Negra” del músico de origen italiano Yordano, publicada en el disco “Negocios son negocios” en el año 1982.

Esta canción es todo un reto para mí, siempre me ha gustado mucho y es la primera vez que me atrevo a cantarla. Me gusta toda su progresión de acordes y su letra envolvente, que nos cuenta una perversa historia detrás de la prostitución y la pobreza en caracas. A pesar de ser italiano Yordano vivió desde los tres años en Venezuela y su trabajo musical fue muy influyente en los años 80 y 90.

Todavía nuevas generaciones escuchan y reproducen la música de este gran artista. Que además de tener una increíble voz, también ha sido uno e los grandes compositores de nuestro país. Espero disfruten de esta humilde interpretación que mi querida @aly.squid y yo nos hemos dedicado a interpretar para ustedes esta semana número 155. Hasta la próxima.

Love greetings to all my Hive friends, I hope you have a happy start of the week. As always it's a pleasure to treat myself to a musical Monday on the big stage of Open Mic. And this time I have brought you a song that is part of the musical imaginary of Venezuela. It is "Perla Negra" by the Italian musician Yordano, published in the album "Negocios son negocios" (Business is business) in 1982.

This song is a challenge for me, I have always liked it a lot and this is the first time I dare to sing it. I like all its chord progression and its enveloping lyrics, which tell us a perverse story behind prostitution and poverty in Caracas. Despite being Italian, Yordano lived in Venezuela since he was three years old and his musical work was very influential in the 80s and 90s.

New generations still listen and play the music of this great artist. In addition to having an incredible voice, he has also been one of the great composers of our country. I hope you enjoy this humble interpretation that my dear @aly.squid and I have dedicated ourselves to interpret for you this week number 155.
