7ma. Carrera/Caminata 10/5 k FANCA / Running for children with cancer

Este fin de semana, se realizó la séptima carrera/caminata de 10 y 5 kilómetros organizada por la fundación Amigos del Niño con Cáncer (FANCA).

Esta actividad se llevó a cabo en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, Venezuela y participaron más de 200 deportistas.
El punto de Inicio de la carrera/Caminata fue la avenida Venezuela frente a uno de los centros comerciales más concurrido de la ciudad, teniendo un recorrido de 10 km de Carrera y 5 km de caminata culminando nuevamente en el mismo lugar de partida, en la Avenida Venezuela .

Como ya mencioné, este maravilloso evento fue organizado por la fundación sin fines de lucro: Amigos del Niño con Cáncer quienes en la actualidad atienden a muchos niños con esta enfermedad. Es importante resaltar que los deportistas asistentes a esta actividad al Inscribirse en la Carrera/Caminata estuvieron aportando su granito de arena para los niños que requieren completar sus tratamientos o exámenes.

Esta actividad no se realizaba desde el 2019 debido a la pandemia, afortunadamente este año las condiciones del clima fueron las más agradables para disfrutar de una mañana deportiva y un muy animado encuentro desde el principio hasta el fin.

7th Running / Walk 10/5 k

This weekend, the seventh race/walk of 10 and 5 kilometers organized by the foundation Friends of Children with Cancer (FANCA) took place in the city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela.


This activity took place in the city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela and more than 200 athletes participated.
The starting point of the race/walk was the Venezuela Avenue in front of one of the busiest shopping malls in the city, having a 10 km run and 5 km walk culminating again in the same place of departure, in the Venezuela Avenue.


As I already mentioned, this wonderful event was organized by the non-profit foundation: Friends of Children with Cancer who currently assists many children with this disease. It is important to highlight that the athletes attending this activity by registering in the race/walk were doing their bit for the children who need to complete their treatments or exams.


This activity had not been held since 2019 due to the pandemic, fortunately this year the weather conditions were the most pleasant to enjoy a sporty morning and a very lively meeting from the beginning to the end.

Combate la ansiedad y el estrés.

Desarrollo de la Carrera/Caminata

Los minutos se pasaron volando y a pesar de que el ambiente estaba muy agradable, ya era hora dejar la tarima central, para iniciar la carrera/ Caminata. La emoción de verlos iniciar el recorrido fue indescriptible fue un momento sumamente motivante con una salida muy limpia y ordenada.

Development of the Run/Walk

The minutes flew by and although the atmosphere was very pleasant, it was time to leave the central stage to start the race/walk. The excitement of seeing them start the race/walk was indescribable, it was a very motivating moment with a very clean and orderly start.

Todos los asistentes a esta actividad fueron ganadores, no obstante, es importante destacar el desempeño del atleta José Daniel González quien fue el primer corredor en recorrer los 10 kilómetros de competencia en un tiempo de 31:42, José Daniel además de ser un gran atleta demostró ser una gran persona.

All the participants in this activity were winners, however, it is important to highlight the performance of the athlete José Daniel González who was the first runner to run the 10 kilometers of competition in a time of 31:42, José Daniel in addition to being a great athlete proved to be a great person.

El evento culminó con una bailotererapia organizada por los animadores del encuentro la cual estuvo llena de colorido y mucha alegría. En lo personal, considero que fue una actividad maravillosa llena de emociones, buenas energías y mucha actividad sana, deportiva y entretenida donde pude compartir con los amigos de Fancalara y Doctor Yaso –a quienes felicito por su increíble labor- además de pasar una mañana agradable con muchos amigos deportistas del Estado Lara y del país, especialmente mis apreciados amigos de Mata-Rata quien muy seguramente estaré visitando próximamente.

The event culminated with a dance therapy organized by the animators of the meeting which was full of color and a lot of joy. Personally, I consider that it was a wonderful activity full of emotions, good energy and lots of healthy, sporting and entertaining activity where I could share with my friends from Fancalara and Doctor Yaso -whom I congratulate for their incredible work- besides spending a pleasant morning with many sporting friends from Lara State and the country, especially my dear friends from Mata-Rata who I will surely be visiting soon.
