Una de las cosas que más me divierte de la música es probar, testear o jammear, como se le conoce en el diálogo popular del músico. No es más que tomar el instrumento e ir probando acordes, secuencias, hasta lograr una métrica interesante con ellos.

El día de hoy, aproveché que es un feriado, debido al natalicio de nuestro libertador venezolano Simón Bolívar, y me dediqué a probar temas, uno tras otro, hasta que di con una canción de la banda uruguaya No Te Va Gustar, una de mis favoritas.

La canción Verte Reír es originalmente un Reggae, con acordes y secuencias muy definidas de este estilo, pero yo en mi momento de entretenimiento con la guitarra comencé a buscar la forma de como tocarla con un rasgado de cuerdas más fluido, y como producto final la transformé en una balada Rock.

En realidad me gustó el resultado y a su vez me abrió la mente para hacer esta misma conversión de estilo con otras canciones que son de mi agrado. Espero que logren disfrutar de esta pieza.

One of the things I enjoy the most about music is trying, testing or jamming, as it is known in the popular musician's dialogue. It's just taking the instrument and trying out chords, sequences, until you get an interesting metric with them.

Today, taking advantage that it is a holiday, due to the birthday of our Venezuelan liberator Simón Bolívar, I dedicated myself to trying out themes, one after the other, until I came across a song by the Uruguayan band No Te Va Gustar, one of my favorites.

The song See you laugh is originally a Reggae, with very defined chords and sequences of this style, but in my moment of entertainment with the guitar I started looking for a way to play it with a more fluid string scratch, and as a final product I turned it into a Rock ballad.

Actually I liked the result and in turn it opened my mind to make this same style conversion with other songs that I like. I hope you enjoy this piece.
