Survival is the act of surviving and thriving under conditions that may be hard, unusual, or adverse.
To survive means coming out triumphant regardless of what you might have gone through.
In life, everyone has gone through one thing or the other that they have felt like they wouldn't survive; maybe it's the loss of someone you loved or someone making you feel less than what you are.
For me, after going through years of depression and suicidal thoughts, the word "survival" means a lot to me because I didn't only survive those moments, but I came out stronger.
The theme of this week's hive open mic is survival and I chose to sing Roar by Katy perry because this song speaks about overcoming challenges and rising back up when a situation or a person tries to knock you down.
It tells us not to let any obstacle or individual keep us down because we are champions and survivors
