En esta oportunidad es un granny con una margarita en el centro. T
También les comparto este proyecto en una presentación en formato video para la plataforma 3speak.
Blessed day friends of my dear NeedleWorKMonday community, I hope you are feeling well. I am feeling a little sick with the flu, but I am very happy to share with you a new granny from my collection.
This time it is a granny with a daisy in the center. T
I also share this project in a video presentation for the 3speak platform.
Daisies are very beautiful flowers despite being so simple. They come in various colors although the most common are the ones with white petals and yellow center. When I was living in the city of Lima, I had the opportunity to meet many varieties of daisy flowers, it was a new experience for me because I had no idea that there were daisies of other colors such as fuchsia and purple. I have always admired the beauty of flowers, so learning to weave flower-shaped grannys is a fun and exciting process.
The yarn I am using for these grannies is 2mm thick acrylic crochet thread, also known as Colombian macramé. I really like this yarn for its texture, its beautiful colors and the nice finish it gives to the weavings. I actually made two test grannys; one in turquoise for the background and one with a lead gray background. Unlike the sunflower, which has stronger colors, the daisy has white petals, so I thought it would look great with dark background colors.
I was also doing different tests for the size of the petals. The turquoise granny I made with larger petals, using triple high stitches and for the gray granny I knitted double high stitches for each petal. I must say that I really liked both models, the size of the flower will depend on the type of project you are going to make with these grannys.
I am really very happy with all these new Granny patterns I am learning. I already have many projects in mind where these cute patterns can be applied.
Again it has been a pleasure to share my projects with you. I say goodbye for today wishing you a wonderful weekend. May you rest, share with your family and spend time with your needles.
Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
