Immigration Update 🛃 Will We Be No Longer Stranded Abroad By 2022? 🤷‍♂️

We try not to get overly optimistic, but it truly feels that 2022 will be a year that we are not stranded abroad here in Suriname. We still have yet receive an interview date for the US Embassy in Guyana, but we hope to hear something within the next couple of months.

If/when @sreypov gets the interview date in Guyana, there are still many hurdles to cross like obtaining Guyana visas, dealing with closed borders, a partially functioning US Embassy, and more. We may get an interview date but not have the ability to attend it, and that would be a depressing situation.

If I had any faith left in government and bureaucracy at all, I would've lost it going through this multi-year ordeal my family and I have been forced to endure. Anyhow, you Hivers are ears and eyes for things I wouldn't dare share on Facebook with family members and friends who are quick to rush to judgment.
