Guitar Techniques - Palm Muting

Greetings. Hope you are all well and rocking.
Today we are going to talk about a simple technique used in guitar playing.
Palm muting your notes is necessary to achieve a clean consistant sound and it also gives dynamics to your playing.
Especially with genres such as rock/metal, you use a mute to break up the riffs to help distinguish the beats in the bar.

For example, play a single note, now play a bar of 8th notes with no mute. Nothing special eh..
Now play the same bar of 8th notes and add muted notes on the first 2 notes of each 4.
Sounds rad! That's how we make cool riffs and voicings.
Dig in deep to change the tone of your mute and pick hard.
Now get writing some riffs!
