The main function to language is communication and conveying meaning in a process of conversation.
In this video I talk about the dynamism of language and aspects of languages like code switching and code mixing, language isn't solely used anymore for communication most times its for aesthethics purpose just like the old Elizabethean era would ryhme whenever they're using trying to speak or talk.
