I know my cards very well, so I rely on their abilities and placement to win fights but when their abilities get taken away from them through Back to Basics ruleset, there is a high chance I lose the fight than come out victorious. As a matter of fact, I dislike Back to Basics the most among all the rulesets in the game.
Going the Distance: Only Monsters with Ranged attack may be used in battles.
Unlike Back to Basics, I enjoy Going the Distance ruleset but I got screwed badly in this fight, you can tell I deserve it for putting out such a poor lineup but it boils down to me disliking my monsters losing their abilities. And for some reason, another Back to Basics ruleset won't come my way since it is the ruleset for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge

I banked on the 2 Armor of SWAMP SPITTER which was why I had it in the frontline to take a hit or two before attacks get to the health and it turned out my opponent went for Brighton Bloom as well, so we were both unaffected by the Earthquake ruleset. Swamp Spitter was eliminated as quickly as I did putting it up in the frontline.
The same reason I had Swamp Spitter in the frontline was the same for COASTAL NYMPH in the second spot, I expected the Armor to be of an advantage to me and I wasn't expecting a Brighton Bloom opposing summoner, so without considering every possibility of a lineup, I got screwed badly.
IGOR DARKSPEAR has a health of 4, so it makes sense that I had it placed in the third spot before Naga but none of that helped me.
The high speed of NAGA ASSASSIN did not help me but it sure helped my opponent because of the well-placed lineup with higher-health monsters in the frontline.
XENITH ARCHER was the last to be slaughtered, not her fault but mine.
One thing with Splinterlands battles is that when you put out a mediocre lineup you are going to get beaten badly, the battlefield is not a place to make friends, it is for bullies so my lineup wasn't deserving of a victory.
So I got screwed.
