Without a doubt, dogs are Man's best friend. Let me introduce you to my beloved three...

Oscar. The Lovely. The Gentleman. Calm and collected thus prone to being builled by the others. He doesn't formally have a Chinese name, but we called him 嘉嘉/Kah-Kah (嘉 translates to "Auspicious" in Chinese). He was my first Labrador. Loved by all, literally all, because of his well mannered and kind loving temper even to strangers. He was an absolute foodie fucking hell he ate so much. Oscar had a sense of majesty to him, the way he sat, the way he ate, the way he panted, barked, walked, took a shit. Everything. He was good to Life, but i wouldn't say Life was good to him...as he was often left alone, or scolded at...I blame myself for not being educated enough and mature enough during that young stage of my life when Oscar was still around. But still he kept a positive outlook, and he encouraged me, no...taught me...to be better. Yes, dogs have outlooks on Life too. During his elder years he suffered a lot from many pains and illnesses. But right up until the very end, he loved Life and looked forward to every moment of it. Because of Oscar he passed to me the gift of calmness and dog-sense, through his wonderful eyes, our nose touches, that only Oscar could have done. He was so forgiving, I would shed 30 years off my life (which is almost my entire life) just to give him a longer lifespan. Oh and in case I forget. Oscar loved ALL the ladies.

Lik/力 (meaning "Strength" in Cantonese) aka Chocolate (phonetically it sounds similar). My most adored, my darling and soul-companion. About three years younger than Oscar. He is my most beloved. We met when he was about 6 weeks old. He came to me in a box and pissed on my hand whilst smiling at me. I knew he had captured my heart. Lik is rash, he doesn't give a fuck, doesn't listen to others but Me, and you can say is a little spoilt in a way a child is. But i know where his heart is and he knows where mines is too. I hug him, kiss him, nose-touch him, chat to him everyday (or whenever i am back at the family house from my travels) and whenever i am away from him my thoughts are always with him. We are like each other's shadow; as a consequence whenever i'm around he is adamant that i be in his sight and he in mine. Even during his elder years now he is still solid, in health and character. He loves people but his approach is not so gentle as Oscar. But once you get to know him, Lik is very suave...no...he is roguish...has that "street" in him...if you know what i'm sayin? Lik and I have a lot of similaries. Because of him I have come to enjoy the colour brown, even adopting it in my style of fashion (i love suits especially my three piece grey-midnight blue suit...blue is my colour... which pairs very well with darker shades of brown, especially with my excellent dark brown Oxfords shoes)

Bao/包 (meaning "All encompassing" in Cantonese); sometimes we call him Bao-Bao/包包 out of affection (包 is also a Chinese styled yeast-leavened bun in the Chinese cuisine, so Bao Bao would then translate to "Bun-Bun"). About 5 years younger than Lik. This boy is curious, playful, timid, energetic, excitable and adventurous. Bao would make the perfect adventure dog. He has trust issues...whenever he sees a stranger he barks at them...but over time he learns to trust in others. But as of recent years i've realized that Bao is actually a prankster; he would pretend to be your friend just to get some treats, then bark at you so you can leave him alone. He also has a very cute but trollish way of smiling when he is happy or filled with confidence (like that troll-face internet meme). Bao is considered the jewel in the household. Loved by everyone (but not by all, as neighbors find him hard to connect with). I love this kid very much. Under all that erratic personality is a very tender, benevolent canine. Not as majestic as Oscar in his gentlemanly ways, but almost there. The most interesting thing about Bao is that he doesn't have that dog-instinct, but rather more of a human instinct...as in Bao does not eat poo...he is very keen and intelligent, he really understands human speak/tonality and is an empath with an acute sense of emotions. Oh and he is mad on Toast. I have video footage of his tender treatment of a freshly toasted toast.

I really love my boys. Oscar I miss you still, but you are having an adventure elsewhere bro. We'll meet again someday, and we'll fuck shit up together. Til then, keep chillin.
