Hello Hive Afritunes week #78, my name remains @jesus-son, I have not changed it, hehe. Here I am to make my contribution to the weekly event of the community which continues to experience several talents coming into play. It is great to see all these and a challenge.
In this video, I will be doing a cover of a song by Burna boy, one of the renowned Nigerian artistes. I got the inspiration to sing this song by just a one time hearing of the song. I fell in love with the lyrics and decided to do it. It is my pleasure to bring it to you and I wish you enjoy it.
The title of the song is "common person". This is a song that talks about the individual's dignity as human person. Eventhough someone serves you, it doesn't mean the person is lower than you in dignity. Each of us as human beings have our roles to play in life. Your role in no way supersede that of another person therefore, we should be kind, receptive and appreciative of one another's role.
I think this is in line with the teaching of Paul in the bible where he talks of dignity in labor. I see so much inspiration from this song. Whatever you are doing, value it and don't allow anyone to look down on you. Reason being that it is a job and its very necessary for life and that is why people look for people like you to do the job.
By implication, every human person is important and valuable. Therefore, see yourself in that sense and live happily. We are our own primary source of happiness so do not allow man to define it for you.
Thank you for always coming around and supporting my musical works. I hope you find some meaning in what I bring here.
Lyrics
Na me wey dey clean una house
Na me wey dey wash una car
Na me wey dey cook ununu
Na me wey dey wash una cloth
Na me wey dey work for your shop
Na me wey dey hawk ununu
I be common person, but my happiness, oh, still be my own
Everybody get role, no mean say your own role passin' my own
