Hola amigos de Hive, en esta oportunidad les traigo una reseña y primeras impresiones sobre Lucid Dream un juego para android que ha capturado mi atención. Este juego como su nombre lo indica tiene mucho que ver con lo onírico, asumimos el rol de Lucy una niña en silla de ruedas cuya madre ha caído en un trance, por lo tanto Lucy debe buscar la forma de traerla a la normalidad.

Hello friends of Hive, this time I bring you a review and first impressions about Lucid Dream a game for android that has captured my attention. This game as its name suggests has a lot to do with the dreamlike, we assume the role of Lucy a girl in a wheelchair whose mother has fallen into a trance, so Lucy must find a way to bring her back to normal.

Historia

La historia no está muy clara, en primera instancia no se nos explica el por qué la madre de Lucy ha caído en un trance profundo. Lucy debe emprender una aventura a través del mundo onírico para salvarla, contará con la ayuda de seres mágicos que la guiarán en este viaje. La realidad y la fantasía se confunden aquí, pues no sabemos si la historia ocurre dentro de los sueños o Lucy debe resolver algunos acertijos dentro de los sueños para poder ayudar a su madre en el mundo real. Probablemente esto lo descubriremos al final del juego pero aún no he llegado allí. Les puedo decir que Lucy debe buscar un intérprete de sueños para poder ayudar a su madre.

The story is not very clear, in the first instance it is not explained why Lucy's mother has fallen into a deep trance. Lucy must embark on an adventure through the dream world to save her, with the help of magical beings that will guide her on this journey. Reality and fantasy are confused here, as we don't know if the story takes place inside dreams or Lucy must solve some riddles inside dreams in order to help her mother in the real world. We will probably find this out at the end of the game but I haven't gotten there yet. I can tell you that Lucy must find a dream interpreter in order to help her mother.

Gameplay y controles

Nos encontraremos en un mundo en 2D en el que podremos desplazarnos lateralmente, podremos interactuar con nuestro entorno tocando sobre nuestro táctil distintos iconos, ya sea para observar objetos, para tomarlos, interactuar con ellos, o hablar con diferentes personajes. Los controles y movimientos son bastante básicos y cómodos. Podremos utilizar los objetos, combinarlos, e interactuar con ellos dentro del entorno. Contamos con un libro de pistas para cuando no sepamos qué hacer para avanzar, las nuevas pistas se desbloquean cada cierto tiempo, de modo que nadie pueda simplemente mirar las pistas sino que tendrá que jugar a como dé lugar.

We will find ourselves in a 2D world in which we can move laterally, we can interact with our environment by touching on our touch different icons, either to observe objects, to take them, interact with them, or talk to different characters. The controls and movements are quite basic and comfortable. We will be able to use objects, combine them, and interact with them within the environment. We have a hint book for when we do not know what to do to move forward, new hints are unlocked every so often, so that no one can just look at the clues but will have to play at any cost.

Gráficos

Al ser un juego en 2D tendremos siempre una imagen plana, pero con interesantes perspectivas y profundidades. Los escenarios pueden ser sombríos, y al mismo tiempo coloridos, con un toque mágico. Los personajes, que pueden ser reales o fantásticos están muy bien diseñados, parecen de un cuento con dibujos antiguos. Creo que este estilo es muy llamativo, y lo veo como un punto fuerte de este juego.

Being a 2D game we will always have a flat image, but with interesting perspectives and depths. The scenarios can be gloomy, and at the same time colorful, with a magical touch. The characters, which can be real or fantastic are very well designed, they look like from a fairy tale with old drawings. I think this style is very striking, and I see it as a strong point of this game.

Música y sonido

La música es definitivamente muy atractiva y se acopla perfectamente a la temática del juego, sus melodías están entre lo mágico y lo misterioso, cada escenario tiene su propia melodía. Los efectos de sonido son sencillos, por lo general escuchamos el sonido de los objetos con los que interactuamos, los diálogos no tienen voz. La atmósfera que crea esta música y los efectos de sonido es muy llamativa.

The music is definitely very attractive and fits perfectly with the theme of the game, its melodies are between magical and mysterious, each scenario has its own melody. The sound effects are simple, we usually hear the sound of the objects we interact with, the dialogues have no voice. The atmosphere created by this music and sound effects is very striking.

Conclusión

El juego está muy bien logrado de manera general, es misterioso, tiene bonitos gráficos, la atmosfera te sumerge en un mundo mágico y oscuro. 13 escenarios me parecen suficientes para disfrutar de este juego, a pesar de que la historia no está muy bien desarrollada inicialmente, esta resulta interesante, y cada escenario está conectado en secuencia. No le veo ningún punto negativo, por lo que creo que es un juego que vale la pena jugar. Los acertijos no son ni tan complicados ni tan fáciles, algo me parece muy bueno.

The game is very well done overall, it is mysterious, has beautiful graphics, the atmosphere immerses you in a magical and dark world. 13 scenarios seem to me enough to enjoy this game, although the story is not very well developed initially, it is interesting, and each scenario is connected in sequence. I don't see any negative points, so I think it's a game worth playing. The puzzles are neither too complicated nor too easy, something I find very good.
