Hola amigos amantes de los videojuegos, hace días que estaba buscando algún juego de deportes, en especial de BaseBall, para divertirme un rato, había instalado uno que por alguna razón no corrió en mi teléfono, así que decidí buscar otra y me encontré con Baseball Star, un juego que a pesar de que sus personajes son más bien caricaturas, contrariamente a lo que me gusta en los juegos de deportes Decidí instalarlo y darle una oportunidad.

Mi referencia para los juegos de Baseball es bastante retro, siempre es Major League Baseball Ken Griffey Jr. para Nintendo 64, es un juego que experimenté durante mucho tiempo en las salas de Videojuegos y luego cuando tuve la oportunidad de comprarlo.

Pues bien, este juego es muy parecido a Major League Baseball, cuando somos bateadores, se nos muestra un recuadro del zona de Strike, y tendremos que decidir según la dirección y la velocidad con la venga la bola, si abanicar y en qué momento hacerlo, una diferencia que noté con el juego retro anteriormente mencionado, es que aquí no tenemos que ubicar la posición de la pelota, nuestra personaje automáticamente la buscará, y dependerá de si está en un zona alcanzable y si abanicamos en el preciso momento para impactarla.

Podremos batear de dos maneras con swing normal, o dar un toque. Al momento de correr hacia las bases, nuestros jugadores lo hacen automáticamente después de batear, también podemos robarnos las bases, aunque esto siempre ha sido un asunto de gran dificultad. Igualmente cuando bateamos podemos correr hacia las bases en el momento en que lo decidamos, pulsando en la pantalla las bases en una figura del campo que se nos muestra en la mitad de la pantalla.

Cuando estamos lanzando la bola, podremos decidir si queremos hacerlo de manera automática o manual, en modo manual podremos elegir la fuerza con la que hacemos el lanzamiento, también podremos decidir, independientemente de si está en automático o manual el tipo de lanzamiento, por ejemplo, curva, slider, splitter, y otros tipos de lanzamientos que cuyos términos desconozco.

Nuestros jugadores buscarán la bola automáticamente una vez nuestro contrincante ha bateado, nosotros tendremos que direccionar el lanzamiento una vez que nuestro jugador tiene la bola en mano.

El juego cuenta con dos modos distintos, modo de desafío, empezaremos una carrera de jugador de Baseball y tendremos que ascender en las diferentes categorías, unas 6 aproximadamente, desde Minor hasta Legend, según entiendo es algo así como llegar al Hall de la Fama, en cada categoría tendremos que jugar una cantidad definida de juegos y dar lo mejor de nosotros. Por otro, lado el modo liga tendremos la oportunidad de elegir cuantos juegos queremos que tenga nuestra temporada, 32, 64, 96 o 128 y tendremos un calendario de contra quien jugaremos en cada fecha.

El juego pone a nuestra disposición unos 15 equipos ficticios y opciones de personalización de nuestro equipo, incluso podemos agregar accesorios a cada jugador, como lentes, ropa distinta, y hasta objetos fuera de lugar para utilizaros con bates, podremos modificar nuestro LineUp , y la formación.

Mi apreciación

Puedo decir que he disfrutado de este juego, me han gustado los gráficos, los personajes tienen grandes cabezas y se puede apreciar sus características, las animaciones son variadas y dan un plus al juego pues a veces vemos a los jugadores abanicar y caerse , o soltar el bate accidentalmente, creo que se ha intentado dar un toque de humor y creo que lo han conseguido. Las voces aunque parecen tener un acento francés, están bastante bien, tal vez estamos muy acostumbrados al inglés norteamericano. Seguramente este juego es desarrollado por personas de Francia.

La jugabilidad me ha parecido muy cómoda, todo es bastante intuitivo y no hay nada que nos complique el juego, los controles están bien diseñados para permitirnos disfrutar al máximo. De verdad que esta muy bien elaborado, tal vez el único cambio que haría , es la posibilidad de que podamos ubicar la pelota como bateadores ante el lanzamiento del pitcher que no sea tan automático, para aumentarle el grado de dificultad.

La versión gratuita tiene un solo Slot de equipo, es decir cuando elegimos nuestro equipo no podremos cambiarlo, a no ser que eliminemos nuestro juego, o hagamos un upgrade el juego para contar con otro slot. Esto está bien por mí, en algún momento quise cambiar mi equipo, pero realmente nos es necesario para disfrutar del juego.

I can say that I enjoyed this game, I liked the graphics, the characters have big heads and you can appreciate their characteristics, the animations are varied and give a plus to the game because sometimes we see the players fan and fall, or drop the bat accidentally, I think they have tried to give a touch of humor and I think they have succeeded. The voices, although they seem to have a French accent, are quite good, maybe we are too used to American English. Surely this game is developed by people from France.

The gameplay I found very comfortable, everything is quite intuitive and there is nothing to complicate the game, the controls are well designed to allow us to enjoy the most. The only change I would make, perhaps, is the possibility that we can place the ball as hitters before the pitcher's pitch that is not so automatic, to increase the degree of difficulty.

The free version has only one team slot, that is to say, when we choose our team we will not be able to change it, unless we delete our game, or upgrade the game to have another slot. This is fine by me, at some point I wanted to change my team, but it is not really necessary to enjoy the game.
