Hive Open Mic Week 169 - Sampai Kapan ini Berakhir (Original Song) by Indonesia Bersatu

Hello brothers and sisters, and music lovers in this Hive community. I'm sorry that my friends in my band can't be there to fill in the weekly Hive Open Mic event which has entered its 169th week. Our vocalist is sick, the drummer is at work, and our guitarist is on vacation with his girlfriend. So, I'm the only one filling in the open mic event this week. I can't miss this week's theme, because the War theme chosen by @jasperdick is a must to sing.

In many cases, the main trigger for war is the ambition for power and the lust of the political elite. War only produces widespread suffering, grief, and grudges, destroying many lives. In historical evidence, war has been a continuing threat to humanity, both state wars and civil wars. War only benefits a small number of rulers and financiers involved in it. Meanwhile, ordinary people, the elderly, and innocent children became victims. They have to bear the burden of suffering, experience the loss of loved ones, are forced to flee, and face deep trauma. All this happened because of the desire for power and self-interest.

Through the song that I sing, I describe the suffering and pain caused by war and conflict. I wrote this song on the same day. The lyrics that I wrote reflect the negative impact caused by violence, including the physical and emotional damage experienced by victims of war, especially children. I asked, "How long will this last?" Through this song too, I hope that the world will be peaceful and love will embrace everyone. The song also refers to the question of whether there may be hope for achieving a state where peace and love can replace the current destruction and suffering.
