HIVE OPEN MIC WK 186 || A THOUSAND YEARS COVER

Hello everyone, it's definitely been a long time sharing my music piece to this community and I'm not happy it took me this long and I'm really sorry to those that wished I didn't stop. Well today, that is changing and I'm super excited about it. You know, when I started this week I remember writing a thread on #inleo saying I was going to make the most of this week by making it productive as much as I can and so far I've done quite a lot of things that I did not see myself doing the week before and creating videos to my favorite music communities was part of it 🥺.

Few days ago I remember creating a video for the #afritunes community and here I am in the hive Open mic community! Really it's a milestone achievement for me and I'm proud of myself. So as some might know, this is the 186th week of the hive Open mic theme presentation and our beautiful spotlight artist @mairene1 has chosen an interesting theme she called Cinema!

At first I was a bit unsure of what to present for this theme until I saw her entry and that helped me a whole lot. So for my entry, I presented a song I love so much, a song I never get tired of listening to or even singing called A THOUSAND YEARS by Christina Perri. I first heard this song in the movie TWILIGHT when Edward and Bella got married. It was a day filled with so much emotions and that made me just loved the song choice for that part of the movie.

I had so many other song choices in mind but then most of them were song I did not felt like singing so I just went with this one because I felt it was the best and easy one to sing since I was going to do an Acapella version. The lyrics of the song will resonate well to those that have seen the movie and love that scene as much as I do but then I hope my cover makes someone want to add this song to their playlist today or some other time.

Hola a todos, definitivamente ha pasado mucho tiempo compartiendo mi pieza musical con esta comunidad y no estoy contento de que me haya tomado tanto tiempo y lo siento mucho por aquellos que desearon no haber parado. Bueno, hoy eso está cambiando y estoy muy emocionado por ello. Sabes, cuando comencé esta semana recuerdo haber escrito un hilo en #inleo diciendo que iba a aprovechar esta semana al máximo haciéndola productiva tanto como pudiera y hasta ahora he hecho muchas cosas que No me veía haciendo la semana anterior y crear videos para mis comunidades musicales favoritas fue parte de ello .

Hace unos días recuerdo haber creado un vídeo para la comunidad #afritunes y aquí estoy en la comunidad Hive Open Mic! Realmente es un logro histórico para mí y estoy orgulloso de mí mismo. Entonces, como algunos sabrán, esta es la semana número 186 de la presentación del tema de micrófono abierto de Hive y nuestra hermosa artista destacada @mairene1 ha elegido un tema interesante al que llamó Cine. Al principio estaba un poco insegura de qué presentar para este tema hasta que vi su entrada y eso me ayudó mucho.

Entonces, para mi entrada, presenté una canción que amo mucho, una canción que nunca me canso de escuchar o incluso cantar llamada A THOUSAND YEARS de Christina Perri. Escuché esta canción por primera vez en la película *TWILIGHT *cuando Edward y Bella se casaron. Fue un día lleno de tantas emociones y eso hizo que me encantara la elección de la canción para esa parte de la película.

Tenía muchas otras opciones de canciones en mente, pero la mayoría eran canciones que no tenía ganas de cantar, así que elegí esta porque sentí que era la mejor y más fácil de cantar ya que iba a hacer una versión acapella. La letra de la canción resonará bien para aquellos que han visto la película y aman esa escena tanto como a mí, pero espero que mi versión haga que alguien quiera agregar esta canción a su lista de reproducción hoy o en otro momento.
