El Maestro Gerardo Asuaje - Un músico y una persona extraordinaria.
Nuevamente estoy por acá para traerle a esta prestigiosa comunidad mis experiencias y anécdotas musicales, para esta oportunidad tengo la dicha y la fortuna de presentar junto al maestro Gerardo Asuaje, quien es un Cellista de notable trayectoria, y además una persona sumamente humilde, sencilla y al igual que yo, amante de la música.
Esta vez, decidí grabar parte de nuestro primer ensayo, les digo que jamás había tocado con el maestro, sino que en una serie de conversaciones telefónicas quisimos reunirnos para hacer música y pasar un momento agradable, de ahí salió este Perfomance.
Tengo muy poco tiempo conociendo al maestro, no creo que tenga 2 meses hablando con él y realmente nos unió fue la pasión por la música, tanto así que me dió la confianza para quedarme durmiendo en su casa, me recibió de una manera increíble, pasamos un rato agradable entre risas e historias sobre la música.
Es una bendición de Dios conocer personas así por nuestro paso a través de la vida.

Alguno de mis colegas Hivers ya deben saber que soy amante del Bossa Nova, me encanta la música brasileña y el hecho de tocarla con buenos músicos es una bendición para mí.
No es un estilo musical fácil y no cualquiera tiene la capacidad de leerlo o interpretarlo, ya que la música de Brasil está llena de Síncopas, Contratempos, Anacruzas, y otras figuras rítmicas que son complejas, además de ello hay que sumarle la riqueza armónica que es impresionante al tener tantos acordes tensionados que se complementan tan bien con la melodía.
Este Bossa Nova es uno de los más populares del mundo, ya que ha sido interpretado por muchísimos músicos alrededor del globo terráqueo, hoy nuevamente la tocamos el maestro Gerardo y yo.

Once again I am here to bring to this prestigious community my experiences and musical anecdotes, for this opportunity I have the joy and fortune to present with Maestro Gerardo Asuaje, who is a Cellist of remarkable career, and also a very humble, simple person, and like me, a music lover.
This time, I decided to record part of our first rehearsal, I tell you that I had never played with the maestro, but in a series of telephone conversations we wanted to meet to make music and have a nice time, from there came this Perfomance.
I have very little time knowing the maestro, I do not think I have 2 months talking to him and we really joined was the passion for music, so much so that he gave me the confidence to stay sleeping at his house, he received me in an incredible way, we spent a nice time with laughter and stories about music.
It is a blessing from God to meet people like this as we go through life.

Some of my fellow Hivers must already know that I am a Bossa Nova lover, I love Brazilian music and the fact of playing it with good musicians is a blessing for me.
It is not an easy musical style and not everyone has the ability to read or interpret it, since the music of Brazil is full of syncopations, Contratempos, Anacruzas, and other rhythmic figures that are complex, in addition to this we must add the harmonic richness that is impressive to have so many stressed chords that complement so well with the melody.
This Bossa Nova is one of the most popular in the world, as it has been played by many musicians around the globe, today again we play it Maestro Gerardo and me.
