Hello dear friends and readers, I hope everyone is very well today, Tuesday, having a day of great benefit,

As always, I bring you a short piece today that we are going to talk about very fluently, without the need to segment in subsequent posts (which I will do later with other pieces)

Before starting I want to comment that it was very difficult for me to record the piece because yesterday evening I just cut off the index finger of my left hand, that of the violin, but even so, today they will have video! Suffer, but they will have it hahaha

Today's piece is the Schon Rosmarin by the Austrian violinist and composer Fritz Kreisler, from whom I already brought you a work several publications ago, so I'm going to refresh a few important features of it first

    Kreisler:

    • Born in Vienna

    • Austrian sound essence in the way of playing

    • Beauty with the use of vibrato, portamento, and details with a highly personal style

In general, Kreisler, as I mentioned before, was a violinist who was highly loved by both his audience and the violinists themselves, it was something incredible and extremely curious to hear violinists talk about him in such a special and curious way,

All this was for the same use the details mentioned above, an exquisite and unique vibrato, with extremely consistent arc passes, all this in totality and a sound very different from all violinists. It definitely had a seal.

It is for this reason that his music is heard very "old", precisely because of all these details that he used and that made him so different.

Apart from all these details that he left, he also composed many highly characteristic pieces, using different genres, especially Spanish and French to make his own music,

The Schon Rosmarín or Encantadora Rosemary is one of the many pieces that left to all the violinists, which today is recorded on important records by famous violinists, or even transcribed to other instruments,

    🎧

In this we will hear that famous Viennese rhythm such as the waltz, which will accompany a very cute and playful melody, with certain changes in tempo sometimes of the melody,

That melodic "rise and fall" represents precisely that game, that Viennese nibble, a very European mischief,

Details such as dancing a waltz and taking off the hat, giving way to a lady, that toy of those years that was so present in the salons or even on the streets themselves.

And this is how throughout the work we will see even mood swings, but they always return to that same mischief, they return to that essence of the piece that Kreisler sought.

All this being said, I leave you to enjoy today's piece, so I hope you like it and de-stress a bit. As always, I send you a big hug and always welcome!
