Hello everyone, welcome to Hive Learner's Creative Sunday Initiative with George Dee. If you are coming across Hive Learner's Creative Sunday post for the first time, please read [this.]

Every Sunday, members of the community share creative content as an entry to the initiative and it's always fun so don't hesitate to join us in sharing awesome creative stuff.

For today's entry, I finally broke the procrastination of baking. It's not the real baking though but it's great because I got the cake vibe and this wouldn't be the last as I have made up my mind to learn more about baking. I have learned a few things about baking on Hive but, I have never felt ready to give it a try.

What if it would be good, what if the outcome will be terrible? A lot of things cross my mind whenever I think of trying but I eventually got over it this weekend. If the result isn't great, it would mean that I have to learn more and I am happy that I finally broke the procrastination.

I made a simple fluffy cake and this recipe is easy for a beginner like me so if you are procrastinating too, you should check this out and learn something. It's cheap, easy and doesn't take much of your time to prepare. As a matter of fact, you don't even need an oven to get this done; Isn't that wonderful?

    The ingredients I used are;

    Flour
    Baking Powder
    Eggs
    Nutmeg powder
    Groundnut oil
    Food coloring
    Sugar.
    Milk.

    Let's prepare a simple cake.

    • I started by sifting half a cup of the flour to remove the unwanted particles if there were any.

    • I broke the eggs into a container and added two teaspoonfuls of sugar. I always had the idea of beating my egg+sugar with a blender since it takes a lot of time before it becomes fluffy.

    • So I turned the egg and sugar into a blender and blended them for about two minutes.

    • I turned the beaten egg & sugar into a container and added a small quantity of baking powder, nutmeg powder, and two drops of food colouring. I mixed the milk in a small quantity of water and turn it into the mixture, I mixed everything with a turning stick until it became smooth.

    • Finally, I added the flour bit by bit and mixed again until I exhausted the sifted flour. I set the mixture aside and moved on the the baking.

    • I first applied Groundnut oil inside the toaster and this was done to prevent the cake from sticking to the toasting machine.
    • I filled the space in the toast machine with the mixture and covered it before turning the machine on.

    • I allowed it to toast for three minutes and my kitchen was filled with the cake aroma already.

    • I eventually opened the toast machine and viola, the outcome was awesome. Some toasted completely while I needed to turn some to the other side.

The taste was good and the outcome wasn't bad for a first try.
