Las Moiras

Seguimos conociendo un poco sobre la mitología griega ya que es eso que subyace al pensamiento filosófico y sin la mitología creo que la filosofía no fuese igual. Hoy le dedicamos este episodio a las Moiras, diosas que personifican el destino.

Eran 3 hermanas, cada una con una labor en especifico con relación al destino de las personas:

Kloto o la hilandera estaba encargada de los nacimientos
Lakesis o la que echa suerte, si encargaba de la duración de la vida y lo que pasaba en ella.
Atropos o la inevitable, ella cortaba el hilo de la vida es decir, decidía cuando debia morir una persona.

Las moiras era divinidades muy respetadas por dioses y seres humanos, eran responsables de aquellas cosas que de nosotros no dependía. Es interesante la idea del destino, no sé cual sea tu postura sobre el destino, pero entender como se concebían estas ideas y planteamientos en nuestra historia nos ayuda a entender por que somos como somos hoy en día.

We continue to know a little about Greek mythology as it is that which underlies philosophical thought and without mythology I believe that philosophy would not be the same. Today we dedicate this episode to the Moiras, goddesses who personify destiny.

They were 3 sisters, each one with a specific task in relation to the destiny of people:

Kloto or the spinner was in charge of births.
Lakesis or the luck-spinner, she was in charge of the duration of life and what happened in it.
Atropos or the inevitable, she cut the thread of life, that is to say, she decided when a person should die.

The moiras were divinities very respected by gods and human beings, they were responsible for those things that did not depend on us. It is interesting the idea of destiny, I don't know what is your position on destiny, but understanding how these ideas and approaches were conceived in our history helps us to understand why we are as we are today.
