আগুন ঝরা ফাগুন (A shower of Peacock flower & Golden-shower) | Eng-Beng

After coming out of Chandramahal in a van, we came to the main roadto catch the bus. But then, the van driver said, if you want, you can go to the bank of Rupsa river by this van, which will be rather fun.
It was probably 12 o'clock already.
I and Shoilee both liked the proposal. Fardin Apu was a little worried about this unnecessary enthusiasm and uncomfortable ride to go this long road.
Although it is a highway road, Khulna-Satkhira road seems quite empty. Moreover, a van/rickshaw ride on such green sided roads, which is pleasantly decorated by the green-red-yellow colours by nature was is great.
The weather was also quite nice at least given it was summer.
Although Fardeen Apu is not used to this kind of madness, still we persuaded her to take her in the van.

চন্দ্রমহল থেকে বের হয়ে ভ্যানে করে আমরা মেইনরোডে এলাম বাসে উঠবো বলে। সেখানে ভ্যানওয়ালা বললো, চাইলে এই ভ্যানে করে আপনারা রূপসা নদীর তীর অব্দি যেতে পারেন।
তখন প্রায় বোধহয় ঘড়িতে ১২টা।
প্রস্তাবটা আমার আর শৈলীর দারুন পছন্দ হলো। ফারদিন আপু একটু দুশ্চিন্তিত ছিলেন অবশ্য এই অনাবশ্যক উচ্ছাস নিয়ে।
হাইওয়ে রাস্তা হলেও, খুলনা-সাতক্ষীরা সেই রাস্তা বেশ ফাঁকাই মনে হলো। তাছাড়া এরকম দু'পাশে সবুজে ছাওয়া রাস্তায় একটা ভ্যান/রিক্সা রাইড দারুন ব্যাপার, আবহাওয়াও বেশ নাতিশীতোষ্ণ।
যদিও ফারদিন আপুর এ ধরণের পাগলামিতে অনভ্যস্ততা আছে, তবুও আমরা তাকে নিম-রাজি করিয়ে তুললাম ভ্যানে।

We moved forward greeted by the occasional sneaky glimpses of radiant Peacock flower and raw yellow Golden-shower flower from the green mass on either side of the road.
We requested the driver to sing us a local song.
The poor man shyly refused to sing at first but succumbed to my persistence along with two other beautiful ladies inspiration, she shyly sang a song.
Rest of the way, we sang with all our might shanelessly as if nobody was listening us.

দু'পাশে সবুজের সমারোহের মাঝে মাঝে উঁকি দেয়া লাল-টকটকে কৃষ্ণচুড়া আর কাঁচা হলুদের সোনালুদের অভ্যর্থনায় আমরা এগিয়ে চললাম আলোছায়ার মধ্যে।
একসময় ভ্যানওয়ালাকে ধরে বসলাম একটা অঞ্চলভিত্তিক গান গাওয়ার জন্য। বেচারা লজ্জায় প্রথমে রাজি না হলেও আমার নির্লজ্জ জোরাজুরিতে হার মেনে একটা গান লাজুক লাজুকভাবে গাইলো।
তারপর বাকি রাস্তা চললো আমাদের হেঁড়ে গলায় গান।
