    About :

In this video, I am talking about Hypertension and fitness. It is all straight from my head and my goodness, I yapped a lot. I think the whole video is close to 30 minutes long but I am glad because I touched everything…I think…

I first started out with what hypertension is. Which is high blood pressure. I told you guys what those annoying numbers are. If you listened long enough to what I was saying then you must be a monk with the patients my G.

I went deep into physics..defining pressure as force per unit area…if you don’t appreciate my effort then you are an Ingrate and you are not ready to be great.

I went into what I think fitness is: The ability to carry out a specific task. I don’t know where I got that definition from but it just works for the purpose of this video and describing what fitness is.

If I can run at 10 MPH (Which I can for 30 seconds…total stud) then that’s a description of my fitness people who can’t can kiss my ass…I mean are not as fit as me.

Everyone apparently has a level of fitness and that level drops as you get older. In fact some people will eventually not be able to brisk walk as they approach their 80s.

In this video, I also state the problems people are dealing with in hypertension and in fitness as well as I could. I think 1 thing I didn’t mention was the fact that people are more likely to become hypertensive as their blood vessels age and become stiff and so less capable of dilating. (stay tuned for the next video on this topic when I do say that)

In Africa, the incidence of early-onset hypertension is on the rise2. It appears to be low in East Africa Kenya and Highest in Nigeria. 3

WHO says that it is highest in Sub-Saharan Africa…Go figure that’s where Nigeria is and chunks up all the population. 4

The level of control in Nigeria we have our hypertension cases is also low (7.3%) which means for every 100 cases there are 7 people who control their hypertension and then we have to split one extra unfortunate human being into three.

I want to examine why Kenya has low levels…could it be because Obama hammered all the way from there? We will never know.

The solution I give to people who are hypertensive is 2 fold because there is an evident relationship between fitness and hypertension. People who are fit actually fit (not all these PED people) have better blood pressure readings. There is a relationship between good diets and hypertension.

So when I see patients that’s what I try to get them into…good fitness plan (reasonable for their current state) and a good diet.

    If you can walk…walk more…if you can run…run more…if you can swim…swim more. It helps…it works…1
