In this post I tried to explain as much as I can about Nigerian Ol sources for gym members. What I didn't go too indept on was why people would need to be taking oils in the first place.
If you are the type to read descriptions of posts, you are doing well and this will benefit you because it's not in the video.
You want fat because of your hormonal state. Testosterone and Estogen both are hormones and are synthesized from fat.
I start out with a joke from a previous video about being the elephant in the room.
If you over consume fats and oil anyway...you are deffs going to the The Biggest Loser Nigeria.
Fats will make you fat, you know how I known that? It's in the name. Its the one time that the dieticians and the fitness folk came together to warm people.
Fats also toy with your lipid profile.
This is Informed Decision NG where we help you make the difficult decision of starting out your workout and keep you consistent all through. In this post, I will be breezing through fat and oil sources that are available for Nigerians and are good for your health. We will be giving more information about these oil sources and what you should be keeping your eyes on when you are buying fats and oil from a supermarket shelf.
We do not have enough studies to prove that certain fats and oils are in fact bad for our health. In fact, some have been found to have a positive effect on cardiovascular and joint health. Most of the studies that have been done have been non-human studies and how could they be human studies? How can you feed humans with fake food and expect anything to come of those studies
I talked about ground nut, egusi, fish oils eggs, avocado, crayfish, grass-fed beef and olive oil.
Palm Oil
There is a lot of misconception around palm oil. Palm oil does not have transfat, it is in most of the processed food we eat, it has a high heat threshold (meaning it is unaltered by heat) and Palm oil is high is Omega-6 fatty acid.
