Esta semana de Optimismo en Open Mic les presento una danza zuliana titulada Sr. JOU y veamos en propias palabras de su compositor Pablo Camacaro lo que significa estas siglas:

"Esta danza zuliana, Señor JOU, la compuse allá por el año de 1977. Vivía con mi familia en Lagunillas del Estado Zulia. Por sugerencia de mi amigo y hermano del grupo Raíces de Venezuela, Domingo Moret, se la dediqué al Sr. Jesús Omar Uribe (gran colaborador del grupo en sus inicios) con motivo de su cumpleaños.

Entre Domingo y yo buscamos y dimos con el nombre que llevaría: Señor JOU. JOU son las iniciales de Jesús Omar Uribe, quien más adelante se convertiría en mi compadre. Raíces hizo la primera versión grabada y no fue si no trece años más tarde cuando empezó a ser reclamada por el público."

Es por eso que esta canción lleva ese nombre. Generalmente las Danza zulianas son de un tempo lento o andante, pero esta en particular es más rápida y un tanto de dificil ejecución tecnica. Aquí te presento mi versión, primero en F#m y luego modulada a la tonalidad original Am.
