After the professional development session I shared about last week and several excuses and postponement of our relocation date, my post mate and I set out for Tatale yesterday.
We left Tamale around 10am and got to Tatale around 1pm, as dusty as dusty can get. I wore a turtleneck because I knew what lies on the road. Lol
After we got to our destination (Tatale EP Agric Senior High School), we changed into more casual clothes and headed to the market to get some stuff to help is settle in.
This was what the road to the market looked like. No, that is not fog. This is dust. I had a migraine from how much dust I inhaled throughout the day. I’m not sure how that works, but yeah.
Interesting enough, it was market day when we got there. The market here reminds me of market at Savelugu. Not as disorganized, but the structures in the market were very similar.
My colleague bought a sponge and some slippers. I, on the other hand, bought a bucket. It appears neither of us remembered to bring a bucket along. I’m honestly shocked at the price differences between things here and once back at Tamale. I guess that is owed to the fact that Tatale is about 20 minutes ride away from Togo’s border.
Being here feels strange right now(which I guess is to be expected) , but I for sure will try as much as I can to enjoy the place despite challenges I’ll face here.
