¡Saludos queridos amigos de Hive! espero se encuentren muy bien, el día de hoy después de un poco de ausencia les traigo nuevamente algo de música en el #Openmic en su semana número 77 con una melodía en piano muy sencilla pero con una belleza única, se trata de una canción tradicional de Estados Unidos llamada "Aura Lee" la cual tiene un trasfondo histórico que se los dejaré abajo en el post junto a la partitura que usé para guiarme.

I hope you are very well, today after a little absence I bring you again some music in the #Openmic in its 77th week with a very simple piano melody but with a unique beauty, it is a traditional song from the United States called "Aura Lee" which has a historical background that I will leave below in the post along with the score that I used to guide me.

Aura Lee (o Aura Lea) es una canción tradicional estadounidense compuesta por George R. Poulton (autor de la melodía) y William Whiteman Fosdick (autor del texto) y publicada en 1861, durante la Guerra Civil. El primer grabado "oficial" , sin embargo, se remonta a 1936, por Frances Farmer. La melodía de la canción fue tomada de la famosa canción Love Me Tender de Elvis Presley (con letras escritas por el propio Presley y Ken Darby).

Los derechos de autor de la canción fueron archivados en 1861 en Cincinnati. La canción, inicialmente cantada por cantantes callejeros, más tarde se hizo muy popular durante la guerra civil en, que comenzó justo en el período de la publicación de la canción, en las tropas estacionadas en West Point. The song's copyright was filed in 1861 in Cincinnati. The song, initially sung by street singers, later became very popular during the civil war in, which began right in the period of the song's publication, in the troops stationed at West Point. This popularity among the soldiers led L. W. Becklaw to change the lyrics to a military song under the title Army Blue. Later, another readjustment was made under the title of the Yellow Rose of Texas. In 1936, the song was performed by Frances Farmer in the film Ambition (Come and Get it).
