My first rage post in a long time 😡😤🤬

Unexpected things happen, but it's up to you how you react to them. Anger is a natural emotion, but that doesn't mean that you should let it get the best of you during stressful situations.

Sunday morning I woke up to find out that somebody had driven into my new car and left a terrible mark on the back left panel. I didn't notice it at first, but it was hard to miss as soon as I went to go load groceries into my trunk while doing Instacart.

This past weekend was the busiest time of the year here in the little city that I call home. People from all over the state come for this big festival we have here once a year. To me, it's nothing but a shitshow, but many people around here live to get drunk and make a mess of the city I guess because it was overrun with people here. I of course live right in the middle of all the action and my normal parking garage went from not so busy to completely full. I parked my car as I always do and then was inside for the night and eventually went to bed. Sometime during the hours of 11pm-10am my car was damaged. Of course, the person didn't take the time to leave their insurance information and that leaves me to fit the bill.

My insurance company told me it would cost me $1,000 to fix the damages. I said no thank you and instead decided to call the police. I filed a police report and this may give me the chance to have my deductible lowered to $300, which to me is still a lot for something that I had no part in.

My hope is that the city and police will be able to work together to look over camera footage to figure out who it was who did this to my car. I am lucky that I remember exactly where I was and my garage is full of cameras. It's a shame that I have to do all of this, but there is still hope that the person responsible will be found.

In today's video, I will be discussing how furious this incident made me. I'll also tell you how I was able to get over this tremendous rage in less than 24 hours. I know it's just a car, but still, I will never stand for someone damaging anything that is mine and getting away with it.

I'm most likely going to have to pay some money out of my pocket if I wish to get the damages repaired. Thankfully the car still drives just fine, but it doesn't look anywhere near as beautiful as before.

If you are wondering how you can help, all I ask is that you upvote this post. All rewards and then some will be going towards getting repairs for my car. Not only do I not want the car to look bad, but I genuinely just do not want to have the firey anger reignited every time that I get into my car. As soon as I see the mark I get a bunch of negative thoughts about how I'd like to get revenge on the person. We must work to control our emotions though.

For now, I just have to be patient and let things run their course. I will be sure to update you as soon as I know more about the situation, but no telling how long that will take.
