At Last, I made an impact In Bringing Cycling Into My School's Sporting Activities.

Finally, it's a done deal.
I have been pestering my school to put cycling as part of the inter-house sports games which the management has objected to. I tried hard to bring it to stay, but they just refused to let it stay.

Last term when we had a PTA meeting, I tried to make the parents understand the reasons for bringing cycling into the upcoming inter-house sport, but they all objected to it. I stood up again and explained the reason why I wanted them to bring in a bicycle, but then they were not ready to accept my plea.

Who am I to say a word when my boss has spoken? I never said a word to it any longer.

Two months ago, we were invited to a competition in a reputable school. The sports we are to participate in were lined up in a list they sent. Since I was part of the sports committee, I was able to read through the kinds of sports specified. One of which was cycling. After seeing this, I told my team to take the letter to the management. Meanwhile, my principal was aware of the competition and how I had related the issues with the management and the parents.

This competition comes with a huge prize. This prize was tantalizing and mind-blowing. I cannot wait to see my students claim this prize, although we have not been involved in cycling.

We took the invitation letter to the management and their reply was not what we were expecting. They said we could partake in any other games except cycling.

We were training in other games but we were not able to make it to the competition. Our boys were not ready to partake in the competition since cycling was removed.

After some weeks, we were drawing closer to our inter-house sport, the management had to call us to include cycling in our inter-house sport next year. It's a thing of joy to have been part of this great development.

Cycling is going to be the student's choice. They were so happy after the announcement.

Next term, we are going to have about eight bicycles just for sporting activities.
