Hello everyone, welcome to Afri-christmas Volume 2. I'm so glad we made it to the end of the year, it's my favourite season 😁. Just like yesterday, we celebrated Afri-christmas Volume 1 and now we're here. Well I'm so thankful to God for seeing me through this year, His protection, provision.....just name it, God came through in what seemed to be a rollercoaster kinda year. I survived and I'm thriving 😉. For this year I decided to cover a popular carol song called "Mary Did you know?". It's a song I've always loved since I first heard it, I think I attended a carol service and it was performed by the choir. It was heavenly listening to the lead singer and the backup was superb. I've always wanted to do a cover, so here it is 😊.

The song basically talks about Jesus Christ's birth and asked a lot of questions particularly to Mary the mother of Jesus. Did Mary know her son was special as He was? Did she know that her son that her son had come to save humanity, including her? Did Mary know that her baby would be able to heal, to calm storms with His hand, to walk on water? Did she know that she was kissing the face of God? These and many more questions were asked of Mary in this song.
The song just shows us the supreme nature of God, He is the great I am, He is all powerful. The blind will see, the deaf will hear, He raises the dead. Even the dumb will speak and proclaim His praises.

Hola a todos, bienvenidos al Volumen 2 de Afri-christmas. Me alegro mucho de haber llegado a fin de año, es mi estación favorita 😁. Al igual que ayer, celebramos Afri-christmas Volumen 1 y ahora estamos aquí. Bueno, estoy muy agradecido a Dios por ayudarme a superar este año, Su protección, provisión... solo nómbralo, Dios salió adelante en lo que parecía ser un año de montaña rusa. Sobreviví y estoy prosperando 😉. Para este año decidí hacer un cover de un villancico popular llamado "Mary, ¿lo sabías?". Es una canción que siempre me ha encantado desde que la escuché por primera vez, creo que asistí a un servicio de villancicos y fue interpretada por el coro. Fue celestial escuchar al cantante principal y el acompañamiento fue magnífico. Siempre quise hacer un cover, así que aquí está 😊.

La canción básicamente habla sobre el nacimiento de Jesucristo y hace muchas preguntas, particularmente a María, la madre de Jesús. ¿Sabía María que su hijo era especial como Él? ¿Sabía ella que su hijo había venido a salvar a la humanidad, incluida ella? ¿Sabía María que su bebé sería capaz de sanar, de calmar tormentas con su mano, de caminar sobre el agua? ¿Sabía que estaba besando el rostro de Dios? Estas y muchas más preguntas le fueron hechas a María en esta canción.
La canción simplemente nos muestra la naturaleza suprema de Dios, Él es el gran Yo soy, Él es todopoderoso. Los ciegos verán, los sordos oirán, Él resucita a los muertos. Incluso los mudos hablarán y proclamarán sus alabanzas.
