Sending your ProtonMail PGP Public key to openpgp.org public key server

This video explains how to upload your PGP Public key to a public key server if you're on ProtonMail. This is a vital step if you want non ProtonMail users to be able to send you encrypted email.

There is a new PGP key service running at openpgp.org which actually verifies the email identity (by an email loop) to confirm that any key uploaded has been deliberately uploaded by the key owner. That's an important step which hasn't been around before.

On my own Mac, in addition to using ProtonMail, I use the GPG Suite set of tools which mean I can confidently encrypt and decrypt mail with keys I control on my own computer. This software (which costs a few dollars) now automatically looks up recipients addresses on the openpgp.org server which is why it's good to have your keys uploaded there.

This video will form part of ongoing work: I have to help set up encrypted email between a few stakeholders in our #CryptoClassAction law suit. This isn't as easy as it should be when people are already using a diverse set of email providers.
