When the rock fever began to arrive in Venezuela, the young people who joined this movement were singing the big hits in English. Little by little some of them also began to translate the lyrics or write their own lyrics for those hits and soon the first composers began to appear with their own compositions in this new musical genre.

From the early days there was one of them who stood out as a guitarist, singer and composer, Edgar Alexander, who was part of a group called Azúcar, Cacao y Leche ("Sugar, Cocoa and Milk"). This was the group that stood out first for the originality of the repertoire, which mostly came from the hand of this young Venezuelan, who until his last days was dedicated to rock and with a recognized trajectory.

One of his greatest hits is the one I am presenting today, which fully coincides with this week's theme, since it is about a longing that arose when listening to a guitar for joy and love to reign in the world.

So this song, by the great Edgar Alexander, is my entry for the Hive Open Mic, week 104, in the theme of "Automatic Guitar".

Cuando a Venezuela empezó a llegar la fiebre del rock, los jóvenes que se sumaron a este movimiento lo que hacían era cantar los grandes éxitos en inglés. Poco a poco empezaron algunos también a traducir las letras o escribir letras propias para esos éxitos y pronto empezaron a aparecer los primero compositores que traían composiciones propias en este nuevo género musical.

Desde los primero días hubo uno de ellos que destacó como guitarrista, cantante y compositor, Edgar Alexander, quien formaba parte de un grupo llamado Azúcar, Cacao y Leche. Fue este el grupo que destacó de primero por la originalidad del repertorio, que en su mayoría provenía de la mano de este joven venezolano, que hasta sus últimos días estuvo dedicado al rock y con una reconocida trayectoria.

Uno de sus máximos éxitos es tes que presento hoy y que coincide plenamente con la temática de esta semana, pues se trata de un anhelo surgido al escuchar una guitarra de que en el mundo reine la alegría y el amor.

Así que esta canción, del gran Edgar Alexander, es mi participación para el Hive Open Mic, semana 104, en la temática de "Guitarra automática".
