HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 171- JEALOUS BY LABRINITH (ACAPELLA COVER BY @BENII)

The past couple of months, precisely from May, have been really demanding and hectic for me.

I had to deal with all the stress that came from planning my twin sister's wedding @bernice001, witnessing the actual event, working on my school project, and preparing for my exams, which just ended last week.

However, I am happy to share that everything was a success – my sister's wedding, my project seminar, and my examinations.

Now, I am thrilled to be back here with my Lovely Hive Open Mic community.

And I am super excited to participate in this week's theme, which was chosen by our dear Spotlight Artist @merit.ahama.

For my performance, I have decided to sing the song "Jealous" by Labrinth.

"Jealous" by Labrinth beautifully captures the emotional rollercoaster that often accompanies divorce and separation. The song delves into the profound sense of loss and heartbreak that individuals experience when a relationship comes to an end.

The title itself, "Jealous," conveys the feelings of envy and insecurity that can arise when one partner witnesses the other moving forward and finding happiness with someone new.

The songwriter expresses a deep yearning to be reunited with their former partner, longing for the connection they once shared. It's a reflection of the emotional turmoil that can follow a breakup.

Sometimes, after people go through divorce and separation, they experience jealousy when they see their partners moving on and find themselves wishing that the separation never happened.

Los últimos dos meses, precisamente desde mayo, han sido realmente exigentes y agitados para mí.

Tuve que lidiar con todo el estrés de planear la boda de mi hermana gemela @bernice001, presenciar el evento en sí, trabajar en mi proyecto escolar y prepararme para mis exámenes, que acaban de terminar la semana pasada.

Sin embargo, me alegra compartir que todo fue un éxito: la boda de mi hermana, el seminario de mi proyecto y mis exámenes.

Ahora, estoy encantada de estar de vuelta aquí con mi comunidad Lovely Hive Open Mic.

Y estoy súper emocionada de participar en el tema de esta semana, que fue elegido por nuestra querida Spotlight Artist @merit.ahama.

Para mi actuación, he decidido cantar la canción "Jealous" de Labrinth.

"Jealous" de Labrinth captura maravillosamente la montaña rusa emocional que a menudo acompaña al divorcio y la separación. La canción ahonda en la profunda sensación de pérdida y angustia que experimentan las personas cuando una relación llega a su fin.

El propio título, "Jealous", transmite los sentimientos de envidia e inseguridad que pueden surgir cuando uno de los miembros de la pareja ve cómo el otro avanza y encuentra la felicidad con alguien nuevo.

El compositor expresa un profundo anhelo de reunirse con su ex pareja, añorando la conexión que una vez compartieron. Es un reflejo de la confusión emocional que puede seguir a una ruptura.

A veces, después de un divorcio o una separación, las personas sienten celos cuando ven a sus parejas seguir adelante y desean que la separación nunca hubiera tenido lugar.
